MARRUCCO: ‘KIM WAS PROPOSED TO NAPOLI OVER A YEAR AGO’
Fulvio Marrucco, an agent and intermediary in the deal that brought Kim Min-Jae to Napoli, revealed that the Partenopei had the chance to sign the Korean defender earlier than they did.

The 25-year-old centre back has been a key figure under Luciano Spalletti this season, being the perfect replacement for their talismanic defender Kalidou Koulibaly, who left for Chelsea. Kim has appeared in all but one of Napoli’s games so far this season and looked confident and calm at the back, being defensively solid and consistent.

Speaking to Radio CRC, Marrucco detailed how Napoli had the opportunity to pick up Kim before he made the move to Fenerbahce last year.

“I proposed him some time ago, but then no negotiations were undertaken. It was the time when many players wanted to leave China because salaries had been lowered, so many players would have liked to move.

“Among them was Kim, whom I proposed to Napoli, but at the time Napoli were sufficiently organised at the back. At the moment I think that beyond everything that is being discussed in this wonderful period, the key point is the contract of Cristiano Giuntoli.”

Since his arrival at Napoli, the 25-year-old Kim has shone, averaging 1.38 tackles per 90 minutes, 1.38 blocks per 90 and 1.88 interceptions per 90. He signed a three-year deal with Napoli that contains an option for an extra two years.
Fenerbahce signed him for just 3M last year, while Napoli payed 18M this summer for Kim.

Napoli seems to have made the right transfer moves (Khvicha Kvaratskhelia!), so I wonder what players are intermediaries proposing to Inter

EDIT: If they are going to somehow finally win Scudetto, we all know it`s certainly NOT thanks to Lucky Luciano but to the impressive transfers of Giuntoli.

So if we had impressive transfers we should have won with Spalletti too?

Then why are we suggesting to fire the coach everytime there are humps?

hope our new coach has use for someone like Raspadori

Well, unfortunately he just moved to Napoli this summer bro. He's not leaving any time soon. Unless you're suggesting someone literally like him in which case I don't know who fits that bill.

Lotito said SMS price is 120m.

I would love it if he lost him on a free in 2024.
I would hate seeing him go to Juve, I really do. For me he is one of the best midfielders in the world and I can't be a fan of someone who plays for a club like that.

Interesting to see how this going to develop. I hope he plays a good WC so he will end up at Real or maybe Bayern? Don't see him going to City, PSG and def don't want him to go to Juve.

Ffs we should be all over him if we had any money to spend.

100% they dont go for him. This is a classic rube news propaganda to steer angry fans away from the current level of horrible football and feed these Piedmonte orks with a signing of Serie A most expensive midfielder. They have hands full trying to figure out how to finance Allegri sack and new incoming coach team's multi million contracts.

At least he`s not quick to bend over for Juve like that old fucker Rocco [self-declared Juventus fan, owner of Fiorentina]

Believe it or not, Raspadori being bought saddens me more than missing out on Dybala AND Bremer combined. He`s for real!

OK, Raspadori was never going to start ahead of Martinez, but when you think that he was bought for Correa money... o_O much much better investment.

Tbf he would've been playing with Lautaro, not ahead of him.
I don't think so. Whatever we may think Inzaghi hasn't shown so far he sees Lautaro as prima punta.

Anyway, pointless discussion. The time to sign him was when we sold Lukaku. We made an approach, Sassuolo refused to sell and we ended up with Correa. We couldn't have afforded him last summer. He's at Napoli now and he will only leave for abroad. ADL doesn't sell inside Serie A.
