yeah, but my point was just generally about paying for quality.

If you're spread thin - like we were a few years ago - 2x20m players is better for the squad than 1x40m player. But we're in a position where we really need to improve quality and squad depth - signing 4 Gags-level players or Scalvini+Frattesi, I know what I'd prefer tbh.
I agree, but I'm not so convinced about Scalvini, because of the overall quality of Atalanta players, when they are taken out of their system.

no one else linked to him? Correa(15m) for Scalvini loan + option to buy (20m or 1-3 prospects with buy back option). This is going to have to be our offer for pretty much any player in Italy.

Since everyone else is either a starter or leaving on free transfer.

Looked at Wiki we have 29 fking players out on loan + 2 under contract we don't play (Dalbert and Gianelli who was in Series C and is 22).

So is that where all our money is?

fk keep the main 11 then and bring some of these peopel back for the bench or give 5-10 of them to Sassulo and Atalanta for players we want. How do we have 31 guys we aren't using when we are fking bankrupt?

Yeah I think that’s too simplistic. Players learn by playing. Scalvini is not going to magically become better than Darmian by just training.
Quite the contrary. I think he would become better than Darmian for us by just training with the team for awhile (in scenario he wouldn't slot in immediately).

At Inter you hardly ever get to play if you haven't earned it. And you earn the playing time by doing well in trainings. The pressure are so high that coaches don't play with fire, they use only players they trust can deliver what is asked from them.

Yeah I understand your points @CafeCordoba and @.h. I’m skeptical because our coach still started Handanovic for a quarter of the season despite Onana clearly being better. And he still plays him randomly. He also plays Gagliardini when it’s obvious he’s not better than Asllani. He would play D’Ambrosio as a RWB before he finally gave a chance to Bellanova. He plays Correa in garbage minutes of games we have a comfortable lead instead of Carboni. You get my point.

Jury is still out on whether Inzaghi can develop a young player into being a starter for this team. Or even a consistent contributor.

but i think Onana was actually kind of a good example - he showed he deserved to be there, and it took 3 months integration time

Asllani I cant really explain, but dambro has been solid enough tbh.

Asllani, Bella, Carboni are different stories really - all 3 of those combined cost less than 1 of Scalvini/Frattesi

Yes.

I think Gags offers different stuff to Inzaghi, mostly size and physicality. Asllani doesn't play the same way. But yeah, I would have used Asllani aswell.

Bellanova IMO didn't earn anything at the start of the season. Bellanova wasn't convincing when he played (the basic game), only in this latter part of the season he's been able to do something on the flank.

Again, Inter is not for anyone's development. If you are good enough, you play. If we pay 40m for Scalvini (I don't know can we really do that), I'm sure we've scouted him well enough to be sure he's gonna be good enough. As talked here, he might not be automatic starter in the first 6 months or something and that's fine. It takes time to get used to a new team, coach etc. but I wouldn't have fears if we signed Scalvini.

I just feel these Scalvini/Frattesi rumors are so out of depth when it comes to our finances. They are valued like 40m€ a piece. Can't see us signing both in any scenario.

Handanovic starting now at latter part of the season is just to get him enough games to get the record, out of respect for his career at Inter.

TBH, I suspect we want to take the risky gamble on those guys. Some of our saved salaries will cover it already, if we do sell Onana and/or Brozovic the plusvalenza will cover next season for us already, and then we just 'work it out' as we need to

we need to integrate 1-2 more club grown players into our squad– I wouldn’t let go of all 3 of Mulattieri, Fabbian, and Oristanio. Pirola buyback could be interesting but I don’t know if we’ll have the funds to justify it.

Of the two the one I really want is scalvini. I doudt we get it done but that would be my ideal defender for post skriniar.

TMW: Lois Openda is Milan‘s primary target for the attack while talks with Daichi Kamada have intensified and Stephan El Shaarawy’s return is on the cards [free transfer].

If one of our starting midfielders leaves maybe, but as of now we need solid back ups who can replace useless shitfucks like Gagliardini in the squad.
That`s precisely why I`m expecting Roberto Pereyra to join for free from Udinese to replace Donkey5.

If Brozovic leaves, I`d rather expect the club to sign Kessié than SMS - due to price vs age factor.
But the priorities will be to replace Skriniar and D`Ambrosio along with forwards like Lukaku and hopefully Correa.

I'd take Frattesi over the two above.

Milan will get Sportiello for free as a back up goalkeeper.

It is expected, Man U to trigger the release clause of Kim Chen Un. It's 58 mln, and it's valid first two weeks of July.

Marotta and Ausilio shall see, which player is gonna be chosen by Napoli as a replacement, and to hidjack the deal.

LOL never ever thought I'd see the day FIF would choose a bang average player like Frattesi over SMS - Our long desired midfield target.

IDC if our midfield is complete, if we have even the slightest chance to sign SMS for 30M we take it. Especially if Milan plan on getting him. He's still the best midfielder in the league. 28 is not old.. in fact it's prime time
