Argentina international Roberto Pereyra has officially signed a new contract for
Udinese, returning to the club after his previous deal expired in June.
The creative midfielder had been a free agent since his contract expired on June 30 and was linked to several other teams, including
Cagliari,
Salernitana, Parma, Palmeiras and sides in Saudi Arabia.
However, he has today come back to the Dacia Arena and signed a new
one-year deal for Udinese.
The 32-year-old had first come to Italy for Udinese in 2011, remaining until a move to
Juventus in 2014, then returning from Watford in 2020.
‘Tucu’ Pereyra made 200 competitive appearances for the Friulani, finding the net 23 times with 33 assists.
As a free agent, he was still able to sign for Udinese even after the transfer window concluded.
