There`s no space at Inter. Thuram`s brother knows this. At Juve all the new guys walk in Luiz, Koop obv are of the highest level, but even Thuram boy will find game time, because all the other guys will instantly turn to bench. Loca, Fagioli etc. Thuram is the Rabiot replacement.

The 272 Motta is playing, Calafiori - Bremer duo will fit like a glove for him. They will get Calafiori its only a matter of adding 20m€ more to his original 27m€ agreement. I hate to say it , but Giuntoli is the new king of sporting directors atm. He has his old Nipples supporting team now behind him too. Head of scouts and few others. Also backed by unlimited capital injection by Exxor, Rube still is the most powerful club in Italy.

The only positive we have right now, but its important, is the squad`s overall strength and mentality level and Inzaghi readiness to cope with any pressure. Motta and Fonseca doesnt have it. They have unbearable pressure from the get go. Milan and Juve management they all want silverware and to take us out! This is why I love Hakan staying. For once, fuck the plusvalenza. We can keep stacking trophies after adding Zielinksi and Taremi and hopefully getting Ndoye or similar profile.

It’s a shame cause he would add Physicality and height to our midfield. But watching Zielinski play against france now, I can’t wait to see him in an Inter shirt. Always thought he was brilliant.

If theres any player we should Hijack just do Juve dont take him, it’s calafiori

Unfortunately this appears to be the window Juve have finally decided to get their shit together. Their fans are awful. All the whining they've done for the last 4 years and they've still won multiple trophies and finished top 4 every year without counting subtracted points.

Doesn't help when Aston Villa give them an absolute gift. Then Mckennie denies Villa and they add in an even worse player and Villa still agree. It's hilarious.

Seems like we aren't the only clubs not respect grass on our own side enough. Milos Kerkez, whom Milan sold for 1m, is now approaching ManUtd for 50m

While they are losing Theo for free as he is asking 8m net. Similar to our Dumfries.

On a side note, the Lukaku to Milan rumour is intensifying.

Bologna continue to reinforce for the Champions League with Emil Holm, are pushing Union Berlin for Robin Gosens and ask Celta Vigo for Jorgen Strand Larsen (Zirkzee replacement).

Fiorentina are selling Ikone and go after Kean + Zaniolo.

Zaniolo: Atalanta are proposing a loan at €3m with obligation to buy at €15m, whereas the Viola are only offering a total sum of €15m.

It's hilarious when your top target for attack is Moise Keen

It's a bit early to praise Giuntoli. To contract arguably the best coach in the division last season and then pursue its best keeper, central defender and midfielder is more a flexing of the club's financial power than any sort of particularly insightful policy. Sporting directors should be judged on their deals by the value for money they represent, something he did do at Napoli of course.

If you look at Juve’s squad and their signings, what is there to really be worried about?

Name a world class player. Just one.

Sporting Directors should be judged on:
1. the clarity of sporting vision,
2. the consistency of approach (ie do the new coach/players fit the vision), &
3. the performance vis a vis the objectives set (which are based on the budgetary constraints).

Value for money in itself is not a key parameter, unless maybe if you are a selling club. If the club does well in those 3 parameters, the value will be created automatically. For example, lets look at Marotta:

- Clarity of sporting vision: this is clear, everyone understands how Inter play in the last 4-5 years
- Consistency of approach: This is world class, what sets Marotta apart, most new coach or player signed perfectly fit the club's vision. Even the ones who failed, like Bellanova or Cuadrado, you can't say there was no "fit", with few exceptions
- Performance: Operating under severe budgetary constraints, Inter are clearly over achieving

Just identifying a talented player & throwing money to buy him is no big deal, every SD can do that. Hell, most of us can do that. Paratici was good at that, he just was a bit flaky about the vision & fit. Chelsea Directors of Football are doing that well too, but their buying is based on more of a financial vision than a sporting vision - the talent bought has zero "fit" with the coach's playing style. "Fit" for me is a key aspect of a SD's job, its the reason "cheap" players like Darmian immediately look world class

I agree, its obviously too early to say re Giuntoli at Juventus, but so far it does seem like he has a clear plan. Signing Motta was clever, & the rumoured targets seem to fit Motta's playing style. While Giuntoli's past track record is decent, I would say it takes at least 2 years to form an opinion on the performance of a Sporting Director at a new club
