Giroud helped Milan win a Scudetto so if he's another Giroud for them that's far from the worst outcome they could have from Morata.
That was the weakest Scudetto winning side since Conte's first at Juventus. I'll bet against lightning striking twice.

Milan signing Morata for 13M€. His release clause. Wages maybe 5-6M€ net.

I think Morata is exactly the type they need. His link up is way better what Giroud was. Has a Pippo Inzaghi level of positioning ( 50% offside, 50% not ) , is great at heading. Still 31 years old. 20+ goals last season.

He could be a cheap 20 goal scorer in Serie A too if he gets service.
No comparison with Pippo. Pippo had 12 league seasons of 20+ goals, 3 of them were 30 +. Morata doesn't have one.

Milan aren't putting together the most inefficient Strikeforce they can.

No way pippo scored that many. He was clinical but never remebered as a prolific striker.

Pippo had one season when he scored more than 20 league goals... and that was with Atalanta.

He was great in the CL though.

Wouldn't say great though. He started off very well with Juventus in 2.5 seasons (17 goals) but with Milan he's only had 1 great season and the other ones he just stumbled upon goals on the line etc. For example in the seasons 2003-4 to 2010-11, he scored 19 goals. Not full seasons by any means and he got older, but still. That's over 8 seasons.
He had 10 just in the 2002-3 season. Hardly reached 5 in any other given season, which is probably worse than Ibrahimovic's who allegedly is shit in CL (and whose record high is also 10 in a season)

But those 19 goals was scored in just 2366 minutes, which is clearly very good. He cant really be at fault for not scoring more when he isnt playing i think.

Add that together with his previous seasons and i stick by what i said that he was very good in the CL.

As far as Zlatan goes, Inzaghi scored 46 goals in 5493 minutes = a goal every 119 minutes.

Zlatan scored 48 goals in 9958 minutes... No reason to even calculate that.

Nnah of course, the guy is on the top scorers list for a reason. But I wouldn't call him "great" which you did initially. Very good in CL I can let slide and agree with :D

But 'great' I leave to Messi, Cristiano, Lewandowski, van Nistelrooy and Mbappe from the CL era. These guys hardly had a poor showing in more than 1 CL season if at all and they kept scoring like crazy.

Inzaghi, Raul, Shevchenko, Del Piero, Eto'o, Kluivert, Drogba, Benzema, Trezeguet, Suarez, Henry, Cavani, Kane, Zlatan, Elber, Crespo, Aguero, Jardel, Makaay, van Persie etc were a step or two below (probably subjective).
But I think the top 5 is the guys I mentioned. The rest had some great seasons but not all times and sometimes they were no shows. Problem there of course is that they played for dominant sides and it was easier to score and some of their goals were less important in deciding a game. That's for another day to discuss :)

@Bluenine i get why you have Rabiot in orange as he could still stay at Juve but since we're past July 1st he's officially a free agent.

Also Audero has already left, and Di Gennaro's stay is certain to continue.

🚨 Chelsea are willing to offer Romelu Lukaku and Cesare Casadei to Napoli to help lower the price of Victor Osimhen.

(Source: TEAMtalk)

Chelsea want already to get rid of Casadei?

He’s bad, only relies on physical attributes, as many predicted, he dominated in youth teams because of that

🚨EXCL: Radu #Dragusin will be a new #Napoli player, the romanian player already give green light to the italian team because of his use at #Tottenham, Just a matter of time⏳🔵
#Calciomercato
Napoli could assemble a decent defense, which with Conte could make them a solid scudetto contender

Napoli made a good move. They entirely concentrate on their biggest weakness.

Meanwhile, Milan and Roma have remained quiet in the transfer market so far.
