And before them it was Romagnoli and after them it was Thiaw. Pavlovic will probably be the next Milan world class cb.

Tbh the guy looks like a serial killer. He might turn up a beast, but only if his physicality matches his IQ.

Inter needs to sign a defender, someone who is ready play a lot of games. Which is why I wanted Hermoso. Also Inter may need 5 strikers or at least 4 good ones this season

The reason I say this is because this season is different. There is the new format UCL plus possibly CWC. The new UCL group stage will probably mean 8 games for our best XI, and maybe 2 extra KO games as well - all cramped within the same schedule. So its gonna be a game every 3-4 days for longer periods. And its not like the previous seasons where if you win the first 4 UCL games, its chill. There is unlikely to be any chill here unless you win your first 6 games against better teams, which is unlikely. Imagine it like this, since Inter are in Pot 1, the previous season we would have played 6 games against teams from Pot 2, 3 & 4. Now we do that plus play 2 games against teams from Pot 1! The Pot advantage is gone. That is going to take a lot of energy out of UCL teams, which is another reason why I put Napoli as Inter's biggest threat

This season NEEDS a bigger squad, in quality & numbers. Our defence looks way too thin, and our striker situation is not ideal unless you want to rely on Correa/Arnautovic starting some Serie A games. And a couple of injuries could easily derail our season

I'm not too worried. As long as the objectives are set fairly. Scudetto, maybe other Italian trophies, then something in the CL. A bit like last season.

I would be happy with that, if Inter decide to play their best XI for Serie A games all season.

But I fear that is unlikely coz Inzaghi/Inter will play the best XI in the UCL games (too much money that Inter cannot afford losing), which would force rotation during Serie A games just due to the sheer workload this season. So for the first half of the season at least, the priority may end up becoming UCL then Serie A then others, and for that we need more players

Can someone actually quantify the increase in number of games this season? How many more matches are we talking with new CL format, Club World Cup, Super Cup in Saudi, etc.

But we will play something like;

Serie A: 38 games
Coppa: 2 of 3 games
Champions League:10 games
Super Coppa: 2 games
Club World cup: 4 a 5 games (where we can easily play second team at the end of the season).

So essentially we will play 52 games.

We will likely play atleast 12 CL games.

The new format is really bizarre.

8 certain group stage matches against 8 different opponents. Then the best 8 teams will go directly to the KO stages, but if you finish 9th-24 you have to play 2 play-off games as well.

So its more important than ever to finish top 8. Which could be hard for Inter, depending on the draws ofcourse.

So it could very likely already be 10 CL games played before even reaching the KO stages and then meeting one of the top 8 teams.

Last season the priority was very much Serie A. As soon as they got some points on the board in the CL they were rotating, the team they started away at Benfica was almost an entire reserve side. The priority could switch by the knockout stages, but that's in large part because they had a healthy lead in Serie A to fall back on.

We don’t, we have in fact more.

Also reality is unchanged you are only allowed to boost so many players.

Under FIGC; 25 above U22 level and 25 in UEFA regime above U21 level if you oblige to the rules, which we don’t so we are at 23 players on UEFA list A.

Meaning we can have a squad of no more then 23 useful players, plus a few development prospects and two who don’t care they don’t get to play CL or are injured (good luck with that)

And we are currently above that amount on the CL A list allowance if everyone where fit, as our above U21 is at 27 players including injured Buchanan and all the trash we don’t seem to get rid off.

We really don't. From the first-team squad at the end of last season they've lost Cuadrado, Sensi, Klaessen and Sanchez and brought in Taremi, Zielinski and Correa. That's a player down for a start and then Buchanan will miss at least a third of the season too.

How did Brescianini go from a done deal for Napoli to signing for Atalanta? Conte is going to lose it
That fell apart because Napoli tried to change the terms that would make it an obligation to buy from Frosinone and the club reacted angrily.

This deal will be worth €2m for the loan and €10m to buy outright, with Milan receiving 50 per cent.

You forget Radu & Satriano for FIGC list and Salcedo would also count on the A list in Uefa regime if we actually wanted to included him there, which of course we don’t.

These are all there, so would be part of the team if they are still here at the end of the transfer market.

So until we find them another team, they are part of this team just as Correa is.

Inter tries to move them all, but so far the attempt been fruitless.

Latest report actually say they will be included if there no success in finding a solution for them, probably with good reason as you likely get a lawsuit at hand if they can not get first team football and or training, no matter how theoretical first team football might be for them.

Yes, which is why I was explaining the different group stage format of the UCL. Now you cannot rest after a few points on the board, the format is such that it forces you to try to finish in top 8, which is like topping the group last season. I won't be surprised if Inter prioritise reaching UCL top 16, coz thats a LOT of money. This season that would mean 8 games (6 like last time + 2 extra against top teams like City, Madrid, etc) and most likely 2 additional KO games. Thats 10 games in the same time we played 6 last time. Fatigue & injuries are a more serious threat this time
