The interesting thing in this contract is that Victor picked 10 clubs that qualify for his new €75M release clause. Do you think Inter is among these? 🤭
No. And although I love the player Osimhen is, I highly doubt Bepe would move for him. Even when is clause was 50 mln for example. The guy is a pain in the ass. Bepe wouldn’t risk this good team vibes for anyone imo.

Unpopular opinion I've had since day one about Osimhen; he is overrated.

Feels like a lose-lose or a win-win, probably more of a lose lose.

Like imagine how much your value will tank after a year in Turkey? Then your salary request cannot go as high as now.
Still better than sitting on the bench for a year, and Napoli can avoid the heavy salary on the bench, and the value doesn't tank as much.

Am I missing anything else?

Yes in that situation he could get his contract annulled next summer of sporting reasons, why Napoli where desperate of finding a loan situation for him as not to loose him for free.

It’s definitely a loose, loose situation as he goes to a league a player like him never should end up In, drastically impacting his future career. But that’s what you get when you decide to play for Aurelio De Laurentiis team, a man who doesn’t accept market mechanisms and who think he can charge what ever he feels like for his players and then by doing so put himself into a situation where said player is frozen out because he himself brought himself in that situation.

The same man who caused his team to collapse in epic style after their historic scudetto, because he could not come to terms with the coach who brought the glory to his team.

That man is Napoli biggest problem

He’s really good but not world class imo. He’s still young though, it’s a shame that Spalletti side was broken up. A few more years developing in that system and he probably would have been. Now it’s tough to say what happens to his career.

Osimhen is definitely world class. The whole thing with Napoli started to deteriorate when the contract negotiations didn't go that well, then add that social media debacle with the club and all. ADL didn't manage the whole situation after the Scudetto too well.

Considering what Dzeko and Immobile are doing in Turkey, I think that Oshimen will wreck it.

Surely a standard definition of what makes a world-class player is consistency over multiple performances over the course of any particular season. Osimhen just is not available enough to hit those criteria. He is a goal every other game striker which is perfectly respectable, but he's approaching 26 and he's only played 223 club games. A player like Marcus Rashford is just over a year older and has 406 games under his belt. Barella is a bit under 2 years older and has 465 games.

Revealed: How Douglas Luiz's ÂŁ42m transfer to Juventus saved Aston Villa from catastrophic 10-point deduction 'at the last second'

Douglas Luiz's move from Aston Villa to Juventus prevented the club from breaking the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Unai Emery's Aston Villa were under pressure to comply with the Premier League's PSR rules at the end of last season, meaning they had to sanction the sale of star midfielder Luiz. Had the ÂŁ42m ($55m) deal for the Brazilian not happened, they would have been deducted up to 10 points for the 2024-25 campaign, according to The Daily Mail.

WHAT VIDAGANY SAID

Damian Vidagany, Villa's director of football operations, explained that profit had to be made before the June 30 deadline. He said: "We found ourselves in a situation where we had to make an important profit to avoid being in breach with the PSR. Everybody was cheering and celebrating the Champions League, but Monchi (Villa's sporting director) and I were at the party thinking how we could avoid a points deduction that would have spoiled a wonderful season. There was a bomb with the countdown, and we were there to cut the cable. We arrived at the last second with this problem."

Monchi added: "If we sold Ramsey, it would be solved. And we could have because we had offers. Another solution was to put Ollie Watkins on the market. We could have sold the best keeper in the world, Emi Martinez. We also had offers for him."

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Both Vidagany and Monchi admitted they did not want to sell players who were key parts of Emery's plans, but there may not have been an alternative. However, with Villa safely on the right side of the PSR rules now, they have been able to kick on and continue strengthening Emery's squad for their return to the Champions League.

how are we getting 75m ? Unless it's over 3 years which you can't do in contract terminations. Or we give them Thuram or Frattesi/Bisseck + Cash. They are not going to accept Martinez + Dumfries + Zielinski + some youth players. We are not Juve and they are not fiorentina

We are going to save a ton with contracts ending next season hopefully we stop with these free agents with 4-7m contracts that are impossible to get rid of

guys who refused to leave don't want to stay because they love the club. No one else is paying them what we would

I was not implying that Inter would ever pay €75M for Victor. I was just curious if him/his agent considered Inter among those 10 clubs.

Besides the transfer fee, Inter would not pay 10M salary, either.

So it looks like Galatasaray is "only" covering 6m of his salary, makes a lot more sense as that's how much Icardi makes.

If we renew Thuram with a new salary, will growth decree still apply?
