Why do you think De Paul would not be suitable to compete for a starting spot? I`m just curious what are your arguments, given that our entire club from Conte to Zanetti seem to agree on De Paul. Plus, he`s probably the easiest to sign, both time-wise & payment conditions-wise.

The level of quality shown by our starting midfielders this season is very high. I am talking about Brozovic, Sensi and Barella. De Paul hasn't shown anywhere close to this level of performance. I am not saying De Paul will not improve our bench, but I would rather have someone who improves our starting midfield or at least provides serious competition for those 3 midfielders. Vidal will certainly do that. Kulusevski may do that too, if he plays anything like has so far this season.

I think De Paul can be an useful squad player, specially due to his versatility and work ethic. But at the mo, I would rather Inter focus on quality rather than "squad players". So its not like I don't rate De Paul. And I am pretty sure Conte would also prefer Vidal over De Paul.

The 3 midfield starters we have are great but to
Not hurt someone’s feeling let’s not try for a better player!

For 30 million I want someone who can potentially bench Sensi. Not hey let’s get his backup who is older and on higher wages because we need backups. Tired of let’s get X players vice. Let’s get someone who can bench them if they play badly. I know we need a better bench because when I see our game day bench it’s like holy shit!! Is that some type of bad joke! But other than Bro the other 2 have been here for less than 6 months and have under 5 goals between the two for you guys to be talking about not benching them like if they were the Italian Xavi and Inesita

Thanks for the answer Bluenine, I see your point. Conte would 100% prefer Vidal for the moment, but Suning seems to rather invest in younger players with re-sale value and plenty of time to adapt. We finally have a good coach who can actually improve players with potential and determination.

I think we are looking at the opportunity of singing De Paul as a long-term strategy. Everybody agrees he was not playing up to his previous form this year, but perhaps this could help us get him for a lower price/on better transfer conditions? I believe competition is healthy and having players of similar value would push each other to further develop. IMO De Paul has what it takes to further evolve, especially in the proper environment (playing with a squad closer to his talent, rather than Udinese).

on-topic: Milan change Ibrahimovic terms

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is closer than ever to a Milan return after reports the contract extension will depend not on Europe, but on his performances. Negotiations had broken down last week, but seem to have resumed with a significant breakthrough. According to both La Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere della Sera newspapers, it will be a six-month contract with option to extend automatically for one more season. Unlike the initial plan to tie the extension to Champions League or even Europa League qualification, the new proposal would have Zlatan get the full 18 months based on his performances and goal statistics. Milan hope he’ll make a decision over the next few days and he could be at the Milanello training ground from December 30. Napoli do not seem particularly interested now, but Everton are an option with Carlo Ancelotti at the helm.

thieves: Mario Mandzukic’s proposed deal with Al-Duhail has reportedly broken down due to a difference in wages. :troll:

Mandzukic seemed to be finally leaving Juve, having been frozen out of their first team all season. The former Croatia striker was left out of the Bianconeri’s Champions League squad and hasn’t played a minute of competitive football under Maurizio Sarri. However, Tuttomercatoweb reports his deal with Al-Duhail could be in jeopardy and that he is on his way back to Italy. The Qatari side had negotiated a €5m fee to sign the 33-year-old, but the website writes the two parties are in disagreement over personal terms.

Fiorentina: Sporting director Daniele Prade has already been in England, reportedly hoping to bring Wolverhampton forward Patrick Cutrone to Fiorentina on a loan deal.

PS: I just hope Mino Raiola won`t brainwash Haaland into picking juBentus as his next club!

Lol, so Juve are rumoured to be negotiating with Man Utd for Pogba, the deal is 60M on top of Emre Can... Man Utd will be officially the dumbest club in the world if they agree to that shit.

So they lose Pogba for free, then buy him back for 105M fucking million and then three seasons later they'll get 60M and Emre Can on a fat-fat paycheck who juve got for free as well... :yao: It's basically like getting 45M for a three-year loan... Retards.

They have Woodward as their chief scout, manager , lawn mower, kitchen supplier etc . Its expected.

- - - Updated - - -

Udinese is desperate to sell. Look at the latest news around DePaul. Udinese : DePaul is in Argie lineup with Messi, he is playing only 50% on skill atm blalabla forgetting to mention man has scored 2 goals in half season with a price tag of 40M minimum.

I hope we won't walk into the very costly trap. DPaul is reasonable only 20M + 5bonus or something similar.

We need to consider any MF we bring will virtually be starting at least a couple of matches as we have Coppa Italia soon, adding up to Serie A and Europa League schedule.

Brozo, Sensi and Barella can't play 2 matches a week for the whole season.

Please stop reading TuttoShit :eek:blivious: those crap articles are not even worth mentioning here.

Musa Barrow could be on his way to Bologna and Atalanta will reportedly be willing to let him go for €15m this winter.

Hellas Verona duo Sofyan Amrabat and Amir Rrahmani are reportedly heading to Napoli next summer, in a double deal worth a total of €30m.
Napoli also linked with Lobotka for €25m. We know Hamsik & Skriniar constantly recommended this DM.

New Fiorentina coach Giuseppe Iachini has reportedly put Inter midfielder Matteo Politano at the top of his list of targets in January.

Well, even if there's an ounce of truth in that article it's still hilarious. Of course it's still just "rumours", by that logic we shouldn't comment on the transfer window at all before transfers have been done and dusted.

Don't have one.
This is the first year in almost ten that we are even close to begin to close any sort of gap with jube. We need patience, but we also need more serious suning involvement in terms of pure cash, cus we are still operating on bare minimum to what should top club operate on in terms of signing world-class players.

But to be honest, Eriksen is linked to either as well as Rakitic. Not lately, but Eriksen isn't January transfer anyway. But I see the point. However, let's first see how the next summer pans out, Juventus should be forced to sell as they didn't do it last summer.

How long is Asamoah supposed to be out? Signing a LWB doesn't seem realistic unless 1) he will be out a while 2) Dimarco is leaving, or 3) we plan on sending Biraghi back to Fiorentina. I could have swore we bought him on a loan with an obligation though.

It's an incremental thing.

On the pitch, we need to keep finishing top 4 and playing in the CL consistently. Over time we obviously want to gradually improve upon those things - place higher in the league and go further in the CL.

Off the pitch, we obviously need to increase our revenues too. Hopefully we can get better sponsors/partners and make progress with the stadium.

This year they had De Ligt, Rabiot, Ramsey, Demiral and Danilo incoming. It has been through sheer amount of luck that they haven't particularly worked out, but it shows their financial muscles on how much they re-inforced with so many sought after players.
On the other hand we got literally lucky with Conte, who has made players like Candreva seem like world-beaters. Any other coach, and there is no incremental closing of gap, but a further exponential widening.
