Dalbert hasn't returned; it's just speculation.

I guess we are not signing anyone this January.

Maybe in the summer we can do an Udinese double = De Paul + Musso.

Frozen January for us

1/ Free agent Kwadwo Asamoah has reportedly travelled to Sardinia to carry out his medical with Cagliari.

Looks like Milan is trying to sign Junior Firpo on loan with option to buy when they already have Theo at LB. Shame we are broke AF. Would be a perfect deal for us right now. Would stop our left wing from being a liability.

2/ SM reveals the agreement with Barcelona has been reached, a paind loan with an option to buy for €20m. [fuck Barcelona and their summer asking price!]
But the 24-year-old defender still needs convincing and Milan expect a reply within the next two days. Why would Firpo move if he is not guaranteed playing time anyway? Reports are saying he is reluctant to make the move also becaus his wife just gave birth. So he wouldn’t be a first choice role, along with his new fatherhood and desire to remain in Spain, that is reportedly prompting Barcelona defender Junior Firpo to reject the Milan loan.

3/ Juventus have offered €22m for Sassuolo forward Gianluca Scamacca and reportedly hope to close the deal within two days.
The 22-year-old, currently on loan at Genoa, has been targeted by the reigning champions in recent weeks and La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals the two parties are close to reach an agreement.
Juventus’ offer worth €22m is close to Sassuolo’s initial request of €25m and the Old Lady are pushing for an answer.

4/ Lazio are reportedly on the verge of signing Milan defender Mateo Musacchio. Tuttomercatoweb claims the Biancocelesti are close to completing a move for the centre-back and will pay €1m in compensation to the Rossoneri.

5/ Sky Sport Italia reports Kevin Malcuit will complete his move from #Napoli to #Fiorentina tomorrow. Aleksandr Kokorin has arrived in Italy, to complete the move from Spartak Moscow to Fiorentina.

6/ Stephan El Shaarawy still waits for the medical with Roma, as he’s reportedly still positive for coronavirus.

7/ Kevin Lasagna travels for his medical at Hellas Verona, reportedly on the verge of completing a €10m move from Udinese. :palm:

+ BONUS: Why didn`t Inter/Milan sign Papu Gomez?

The 32-year-old will join the La Liga giants in a €8.5m deal, add-ons included, and is set to sign a three-year and a half deal.

Inter and Milan had been linked with securing the player’s services, but why the Serie A giants didn’t sign the former Atalanta captain?

Several reports in Italy claim Atalanta didn’t want to sell the striker to their direct Serie A rivals, especially on the cheap. Atalanta were even ready to keep hold of the 32-year-old if they had failed to find a foreign club willing to sign the player on a permanent deal.

La Dea and Sevilla reached an agreement in a couple of days and Gomez is now ready to begin a new chapter of his career after 252 games, 59 goals and 71 assists with Atalanta.

So why don’t we put players up for 1 million to just get rid of them.... instead of 2 years of Ninja on loan paying most his wages. 5 million to any team not Roma, Milan, Lazio, or Juve

Joao Mario same deal

Eriksen same deal. Fk sell him to Juve for 10 million can care less get him off our books.

Next season Vidal and Sanchez 1 million each :)

We actually do that. Problem is that no one is willing to pay them more than we are and they don't want to go for long term deals with these guys who will demand to get a pay grade that's not dissimilar from their current deal.

Miranda and Godin were effectively such deals. High salary and we ended up losing money when we got rid of them. Miranda had a book value of 3m, Godin's was minimal but still, we ended up paying a significant amount of his existing deal.

I could see us accepting such deals for Joao Mario and Ivan Perisic (if Conte or whomever is around doesn't want him anymore) as they'll be in their last year of contract.

Imagine what our Plusvanza or whatever the fuck its called you guys praise Ausilio for, if we had sold Perisic to United for whatever money they were willing to give us years ago. Instead, we got 3 seasons of rarely good, average at least, mediocrity at most. Our decisions in the market have been awful and even with a large influx of Chinese money it doesn't seem to have changed. Bad spend will continue to hurt us more than being broke ever will.

Perisic was not sold at the demand of Spalletti.
Also, the plusvalenza was like 22m at the time and we wanted double that. The first time when Sabatini was around their offer was shit and it was barely over 10m plusvalenza iirc.

The first one also came when Perisic had like 11 goals and was a very important player for us, it made no sense to sell. After the World Cup we should have cashed in but Suning did not want to lose a key player anyway, at least not for less than 50m.

As far as remember after the World Cup, United offered 45mln and Suning asked for nearly 70?! It was so stupid decision considering that at this time he was around 30 years old iirc.
Our mngmnt needs to learn when is the right moment to sell a player. Just like Roma sold us washed 9n after squeezing the best of him.

That offer was before the world cup, in 2017 when Spalletti was just hired. There were no offers in 2018 after the world cup. At least not in public. And even if there were, selling him was never an option as Spalletti loved him.

I recall that after the World Cup, there were a lot of rumors about Perisic but don't remember a concrete offer. But i'm quite certain that 70-80mln demand by Inter was mentioned and FIF had a great debate should we sell him for less or not.

I'm pretty certain there was no 70m€ demand, but more close to 55m€. And United wasn't ready to go for even 50m€.

I remember back then and didn't want to sell him. He was an absolute key player for the squad and there was no plans to replace him back then. No one predicted beforehand how that 2018 season would go and the player's value tanked completely because if the internal shit.

Inter's demand was either 55m cash or a swap deal with Martial. 70m price was just a suggestion by some FIF members.

Musacchio is going to Lazio on loan. Then his contract expires and he will sign them permanently I guess.

Can someone explain to me why Juventus are so desperate to sign Scamacca? Have you seen something special in him that i haven't?

It has to be some financial move. Maybe they are giving present to Sassuolo so that in the summer they can buy Locatelli from them for a favourable price?

For sure they are cooking up something, just look at how they have orchestrated the Rovella deal:

Rovella, 19, has signed with the Old Whore, but will remain on loan at Genoa, while Portanova and Petrelli will immediately move to Marassi on permanent deals.

“Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that the following agreements have been finalized with Genoa Cricket and Football Club:

definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the player Nicolò Rovella for a consideration of € 18 million payable in three financial years; this consideration might be increased up to a maximum of € 20 million upon achievement of further performance objectives over the duration of the employment contract with the player. The contract also envisages the temporary disposal to Genoa of the registration rights of the player until 30 June 2022. Juventus and the player have signed a 4-year contract of employment until 30 June 2024;

“Definitive disposal of the registration rights of the player Manolo Portanova for a consideration of € 10 million to payable in three financial years, this consideration might be increased up to a maximum of € 5 million upon achievement of further performance objectives over the duration of the employment contract with the player. The economic effect of this transaction is positive for about € 9.6 million;

“Definitive disposal of the registration rights of the player Elia Petrelli for a consideration of € 8 million to payable in three financial years, this consideration might be increased up to a maximum of € 5.3 million upon achievement of further performance objectives over the duration of the employment contract with the player. The economic effect of this transaction is positive for about € 7.6 million."

#plusvalenza ;)
