Semi Final CL and Winning Serie A maybe help us little bit to buy Vlahovic

If we made the semi-finals this season, I would be fucking ecstatic!!!

Alas, I would be happy to make it out the group going on historical performances in the last decade.

Okay Kaka was also pushed out. But I can't see Inter pushing Lautaro anywhere. They are totally happy with him staying and be part of the future.

The thing about football is that things can change fast. I was making fun of EPL fans on twitter as late as April this year, laughing at the suggestion that Inter would even consider selling Lukaku to Chelsea or Hakimi to anyone. 2 months later, everything fucking changed. So you never know. Maybe Inter will be forced to sell a top player for big plusvalenza next summer. Martinez is one of the very few players who can fetch us that.

All I was saying above is that at the mo someone like Vlahovic would be more useful to Inter than Martinez. We need a big frontman more than a 2nd striker. I know the chances of that happening are highly improbable. More likely our transfer strategy will be about how Marotta can spend some pocket change to buy some band-aid to keep Inter from sinking for another season.

As things stand we need a forward more than a second striker but if we sell Lautaro then we will also need a second striker as Correa isn't good enough to be a starter. It shouldn't be Vlahovic or Lautaro. It should be Vlahovic and Lautaro or Vlahovic and another second striker.

At this moment, Dzeko plays more like second striker than Lautaro. He drops deep to receive the ball and distribute it. We definitely play with Valhovic - Dzeko upfront.

A club like Inter should always aim for the highest price, but being irrelevant for many years made fans carrying this defeatist attitude that we're not good enough to qualify from the group stage of CL or even reach the CL to begin with.

This team is capable of reaching the CL final. I mean we're not inferior to the likes of Ajax and Leipzig who reached the semi final or Tottenham who reached the final of CL in recent years. In knock out stage anything is possible. We just need to be sharp over two legs and have a bit of luck to reach the higher stages.

I hope the club bring some reinforcements in January, cause with these many injuries and so many more matches to come, our lack of depth and quality on the bench could cost us dearly.

Lets be real here, our depth is bad. But not many teams can afford to have Correa, Sanchez, Vidal, Sensi off the bench, without counting the other reliable options like Dimarco, Ranocchia, D'Ambrosio...

Other teams have suffered just as much if not more from fitness issues, just look at Milan, Roma, Napoli...

Our problem is that we have many South Americans in the squad and their international scheduling is fucked up. I can't recall a single time when our players returned without issues. But I expect things to improve in the 2nd half as international football will be less of a nuisance.

Yes that could be one of the issues, but we also have/had several Europeans in the injured list and not all of them are a part of their national teams. Even those who are did not always get injured on the international break. For example Dzeko and Barella both came off injured against Milan (before the international break). Sensi is just a glass ready to break at any moment. Darmian and Ranocchia are not a part of their NT and are injured. Hakan had some problems during the season but we don't know if his injuries happened on the international duty or not. Kolarov gets paid to get injured! So our problem is not only about our SA players or those who get injured on the international break.

If we want to have a successful season on all competitions we need to bring reinforcements in January. Some of our most used players need to get more rest to escape injuries or poor form due to fatigue, and unfortunately their replacements are either injured most of the time and or just not good enough.

Nikola Milenkovic has been linked with Milan and Tottenham, as they are on the lookout for a new centre-back in January.

The Serie A giants are dealing with Simon Kjaer’s injury. The Dane will undergo knee surgery today and could remain out of action for up to six months.

Antonio Conte’s Tottenham must do without Cristian Romero for several weeks and the Italian tactician confirmed earlier this week that the former Atalanta man has suffered a ‘serious’ hamstring injury.

Milenkovic extended his contract with Fiorentina in August and his current deal at the Stadio Artemio Franchi expires in June 2023.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Fiorentina included a €15m release clause in his new deal, therefore he can leave La Viola for such a fee in January.

I don't mind selling De Vrij for 40m in January and getting Milenkovic for 15m. We can move Skriniar to the center then.

On paper, we are not a Champions League winning team. We should be aiming for Quarters as a minimum but to win the big cup, we need another star or 1 and another three players of depth.

As for a defeatist attitude, your only as good as your last game. And for the last decade in Europe we haven't been great. Thats just a fact.

Its unlikely that an EPL club will buy de Vrij. He is possibly too slow for that league.

I don't see Conte going for De Vrij either. Central CB may not be a priority for Suprs, they are well covered there with Dier and Romero. Conte may be in the market for a LCB/RCB in January. He may target Bastoni or Skriniar, hopefully Inter can resist those offers. Knowing how miserly Levy is, I suspect Spurs will target players like Milenkovic or Felipe ie our potential targets.

Conte would never join Spurs without promised transfer £££ ( maybe 100M£ for the next opening mercato) from Levy. But luckily Bastoni , Skriniar are both worth 70+ , unrealistic targets for Spurs at this time. They are our jewels, with long contracts, settled here. Beppe hates Paratici too.

Keep brozo at all cost. Give Persic a 1 year extension with option for 2nd. Don’t sell anyone of our starters. Sell the deadwood :) or let them leave early if only 6 months left. Vecino can leave for 500k in January.

Another CB if we really are selling De Vrij which would be stupid.

I know he been pretty bad recently but I’d like to get Davison Sanchez on loan + low redemption. He was a fking beast at Ajax and first season at Tottenham. Would be perfect in a young back 3

What I am hoping for in the next 6 months, assuming we have little money:

OUT: Sanchez, Eriksen, Vidal, Vecino, Kolarov, Ranocchia
IN: Scamacca, Frattesi, Vanhuesden (lr), Ginter (f), Onana

Dzeko (Scamacca) - Martinez (Correa)
Perisic (Dimarco) - Calhanoglu (Sensi) - Brozovic (Gagliardini) - Barella (Frattesi) - Darmian (Dumfries)
Bastoni (Vanhuesden) - De Vrij (Ginter) - Skriniar (D'Ambrosio)
Onana (Handanovic, Cordez)

If we can afford it, I would love it if Marotta can add one quality mid on a free to this - someone like Zakaria or Tolisso or Kessie or Lingard or Isco, whatever position the coach wants to bolster more. Coz the above looks a bit light in terms of midfield reinforcements.

Vanhuesden is risky due to his bad injury history. The boy had injured his knees 3 times (!) that made him out of football for 600 days...

All looks wonderful, but we really need a new starting ST. I just cannot believe that Dzeko will continue this form into next season. Ideally with the extra CL money + salary savings on Vidal & co., we can take a big swing on David, Isak, etc. I would add Vlahovic but I don't want to keep hurting myself like that. I do like Scamacca, regardless of the situation.

Gagliardini still being around in big 2022 would be beyond ridiculous, but I fully expect it to happen. Nandez or Damsgaard would be decent additions instead of Gagsy, and there's always my little dream of Szoboszlai, which will never happen, instead of Sensi.

Edit: or fuck it, I've just clocked that Modric is on a free this summer, get him in for 2 years. He'd still be the best midfielder in Serie A at 38.

Like @Bluenine picks, save for 🐸. Realistically, Scamacca maybe marketed out of Inter's price range given the budgetary constraints come summer.

Me too, want Rano to stay and retire in our colours. Who knows, maybe it's him who builds the chemistry in the locker room lol
