Semi Final CL and Winning Serie A maybe help us little bit to buy Vlahovic
If we made the semi-finals this season, I would be fucking ecstatic!!!
Alas, I would be happy to make it out the group going on historical performances in the last decade.

Okay Kaka was also pushed out. But I can't see Inter pushing Lautaro anywhere. They are totally happy with him staying and be part of the future.
As things stand we need a forward more than a second striker but if we sell Lautaro then we will also need a second striker as Correa isn't good enough to be a starter. It shouldn't be Vlahovic or Lautaro. It should be Vlahovic and Lautaro or Vlahovic and another second striker. The thing about football is that things can change fast. I was making fun of EPL fans on twitter as late as April this year, laughing at the suggestion that Inter would even consider selling Lukaku to Chelsea or Hakimi to anyone. 2 months later, everything fucking changed. So you never know. Maybe Inter will be forced to sell a top player for big plusvalenza next summer. Martinez is one of the very few players who can fetch us that.
All I was saying above is that at the mo someone like Vlahovic would be more useful to Inter than Martinez. We need a big frontman more than a 2nd striker. I know the chances of that happening are highly improbable.
At this moment, Dzeko plays more like second striker than Lautaro. He drops deep to receive the ball and distribute it. We definitely play with Valhovic - Dzeko upfront. As things stand we need a forward more than a second striker but if we sell Lautaro then we will also need a second striker as Correa isn't good enough to be a starter. A club like Inter should always aim for the highest price, but being irrelevant for many years made fans carrying this defeatist attitude that we're not good enough to qualify from the group stage of CL or even reach the CL to begin with.If we made the semi-finals this season, I would be fucking ecstatic!!!

This team is capable of reaching the CL final. I mean we're not inferior to the likes of Ajax and Leipzig who reached the semi final or Tottenham who reached the final of CL in recent years. In knock out stage anything is possible. We just need to be sharp over two legs and have a bit of luck to reach the higher stages.
I hope the club bring some reinforcements in January, cause with these many injuries and so many more matches to come, our lack of depth and quality on the bench could cost us dearly.
Yes that could be one of the issues, but we also have/had several Europeans in the injured list and not all of them are a part of their national teams. Even those who are did not always get injured on the international break. For example Dzeko and Barella both came off injured against Milan (before the international break). Sensi is just a glass ready to break at any moment. Darmian and Ranocchia are not a part of their NT and are injured. Hakan had some problems during the season but we don't know if his injuries happened on the international duty or not. Kolarov gets paid to get injured! So our problem is not only about our SA players or those who get injured on the international break.Lets be real here, our depth is bad. Not many teams can afford to have Correa, Sanchez, Vidal, Sensi off the bench, without counting the other reliable options like Dimarco, Ranocchia, D'Ambrosio...
Other teams have suffered just as much if not more from fitness issues, just look at Milan, Roma, Napoli...
Our problem is that we have many South Americans in the squad and their international scheduling is fucked up. I can't recall a single time when our players returned without issues. But I expect things to improve in the 2nd half as international football will be less of a nuisance.

All looks wonderful, but we really need a new starting ST. I just cannot believe that Dzeko will continue this form into next season. Ideally with the extra CL money + salary savings on Vidal & co., we can take a big swing on David, Isak, etc. I would add Vlahovic but I don't want to keep hurting myself like that. I do like Scamacca, regardless of the situation. What I am hoping for in the next 6 months, assuming we have little money:
OUT: Sanchez, Eriksen, Vidal, Vecino, Kolarov, Ranocchia
IN: Scamacca, Frattesi, Vanhuesden (lr), Ginter (f), Onana
Dzeko (Scamacca) - Martinez (Correa)
Perisic (Dimarco) - Calhanoglu (Sensi) - Brozovic (Gagliardini) - Barella (Frattesi) - Darmian (Dumfries)
Bastoni (Vanhuesden) - De Vrij (Ginter) - Skriniar (D'Ambrosio)
Onana (Handanovic, Cordez)
If we can afford it, I would love it if Marotta can add one quality mid on a free to this - someone like Zakaria or Tolisso or Kessie or Lingard or Isco, whatever position the coach wants to bolster more. Coz the above looks a bit light in terms of midfield reinforcements.
