I usually criticised Suning but not on this. That cost is outrageous and had we been that rich, we should not have sold Hakimi in the first place. Basically that's Hakimi and Gosens combined.

Vlahovic is great and could only be better in the future with his age, sure. BUT it does not change the fact that Juve with Vlahovic is not as scary as Juve with CR right now. If the Portuguese could not made Juve walking away with Scudetto, neither could Vlahovic. They have more loopholes to fill than us and more so if we will steal Dybala in summer.

yep, I believe it is. Vlahovic's agent didn't talk with Fiorentina, he ignored all the offers from abroad and he forced a move to Juventus. Ofc the reason was not because Vlahovic "loves Juve", but because agent's commission. The total price of Vlahović is huge.

Multiple reports this evening claim that Salernitana will not sign Diego Costa, as the club was unconvinced by his fitness and motivation.

There had been optimism that the centre-forward would arrive as a free agent at the Stadio Arechi, where he’d be teammates with Franck Ribery.

However, after Sportitalia reported last night that a basic contract had been sent over to his agent for the final read-through, the situation changed today.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Tuttomercatoweb and others, the negotiations have broken down completely.

The reasons given were that the 33-year-old is not in good shape after leaving Atletico Mineiro earlier this month.

He was also not convinced by the idea of automatically renewing the contract if Salernitana managed to avoid relegation and remain in Serie A for next season.

José Mourinho still hopes Roma can sign Granit Xhaka in the last few days of the January transfer window, but the Giallorossi must sell Amadou Diawara first.

Roma failed to strike a deal for the 29-year-old in the summer as Arsenal didn’t accept their offers for the Swiss international. Xhaka, on the other hand, had agreed personal terms with the Giallorossi.

According to multiple reports in Italy, Roma haven’t given up on Xhaka Both Il Corriere dello Sport and La Gazzetta dello Sport report today that Mourinho hopes to welcome the former Arsenal captain in the last few days of the January transfer window.

However, Roma can’t afford the Swiss without selling Amadou Diawara. The former Napoli starlet has already rejected a move to Valencia and Roma director Tiago Pinto will meet his agent Daniele Piraino today.

Diawara earns €2.2m at the Stadio Olimpico, so it’s not easy to find clubs willing to pay him the same money.

Negotiations with Arsenal are not expected to be accessible as well. The Gunners value Xhaka at €20m and Roma could try to sign the player spreading the payment in multiple instalments.

As per Il Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal are in talks with Wolves for Ruben Neves, so his signing could push Xhaka away from the Emirates Stadium.

Roma have loaned Sergio Oliveira from Porto in January, but Mourinho still believes Xhaka is the best player to complete Roma’s midfield.

SASSUOLO CLOSE ON MILAN TARGET LUCCA​

Sassuolo are ready to beat Milan to the signature of Pisa striker Lorenzo Lucca, further bolstering their Italian roster of attacking talent.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Neroverdi are stepping up negotiations with Pisa and are ready to offer €10m.

The asking price for the centre-forward is closer to €15m including performance-related bonuses, so more talks are needed to bridge the gap.

The 21-year-old has been compared to Luca Toni and his height, 2.01m (6ft 6in) makes him a real powerhouse in the air.

Pisa purchased Lucca from Palermo last summer for €2.1m and he has scored six goals in 17 Serie B appearances so far this season.

He hit the headlines and attracted interest from Milan after a spectacular start to the campaign, finding the net six times in the opening seven rounds.

However, he has failed to score since October 2 in Serie B.

Lucca did make an impact for the Italy Under-21 side, scoring in each of his last two games for the Azzurrini against Sweden and the Republic of Ireland.

The news comes after strong reports Inter are lining up Gianluca Scamacca for next season.
