They are doing great financially, have around 50m€ coming in in the summer from loaned players, while we are chasing zero net summer and can't splash 40m€ on 1 player.

Obv if they miss UCL top4 it will be another thing.

He’s in the final 18M of his contract with a pending renewal being discussed. Club’s position is if he does not accept, they would put him on the market this summer. Could be his agent pressuring Barça in the negotiations but I don’t believe Deco et al will agree to a move now

Still say there’s a divide between him & board linked back to the red card and how he was hung out to try by club & Gundo - it stalled negotiations on his contract when it was otherwise going smoothly. Is he unsettled? I think he wants an appropriate contract now that club is back to 1:1 with FFP (he’s on fairly low wages currently - nearly half of Koundé)

Barça have the leverage and should get plenty in a transfer but would prefer him continuing at club

No one is. If they offer 55 we should accept immediately, 45 for a non direct rival. We’d still be effectively making money on an expensive asset that didn’t pan out at all the way we wanted. When someone is offering you a small win when you seem destined to lose, you’re better off taking it and moving on.

I don’t want him to leave; he’s the perfect super-sub to be honest. But he’s in the prime years of his career and we’re not exactly cash rich.. we need to focus on keeping our most key players here for as long as possible— we all know the names.

Honestly 45 is fine for Frattesi even from a rival. I just dont think hes that good. Hell, theres a chance a year or two down the line we look back at 45 for him and say we got a steal. I really like Ricci and could see him as a potential Hakan replacement or vice Barella. I think this is an occasion where I'd be willing to take the risk.
