There's no active thread about Serie B and some of the talk always goes to the Serie A thread which I suppose for some people it could be annoying.

So all Serie B talk here I guess? No need for a seasonal thread as this won't be too active anyway. Also don't see why the French, German, Spanish and other leagues apart from PL deserve to have a new thread every season.

At the moment after 19 games we have:
1. Benevento 43 points (18 games)
2. Pordenone 34 points
3. Crotone 31 points
4. Virtus Entella 29 points
5. Citadella 29 points
6. Ascoli 27 points (18 games)
7. Frosinone 27 points
8. Perugia 27 points
9. Pescara 26 points
10. Salernitana 26 points
11. Chievo 26 points
12. Spezia 24 points (18 games)
13. Pisa 24 points
14. Juve Stabia 24 points
15. Venezia 22 points
16. Empoli 22 points (18 games)
17. Cremonese 21 points (18 games)
18. Cosenza 20 points
19. Trapani 15 points
20. Livorno 11 points (18 games)

For some odd reason, this season is special because there are no teams with point deductions. Yet :D

I’m wondering brehme... how much football are you watching per week?
But thanks for the effort anyway. Appreciate it.

Bevenento beats Ascoli with an emphatic 4-0 with a Marco Sau hattrick! These guys are definitely coming up next season.

They are coached by Filippo Inzaghi and some players you may know, other than Marco Sau who was a perennial banter era target, there's Roberto Insigne (Lorenzo's brother), Hetemaj (Chievo's Finnish player), our very own Luca Caldirola and Napoli's ex-icon Christian Maggio.

Definitely dropping points to them next year.

Thank you Brehme. For Christmas I got the book: ''Ultras, the underworld of Italian Football'' by Tobias Jones, started to read it last weekend and alot of stories are about the lower ranked teams which all play now in the Serie B or C so it's nice to ''follow'' the teams which are talked about in the book.

Out of curiosity, which clubs' supporters is it around? I guess there's a big number of them but it'd be cool to know its setup before buying it myself.

It's start with the riot between Inter and Napoli in 2018. The first chapter is about Cosenza and their struggle and now I'm reading about Torino. Will be more specific tonight when I get home from work. For now I like the book because it not just tells hooligan stories but get more specific about the mentalita on the curva and the struggle within the different groups, their political agenda and personal views etc.

For example reading about Cosenza was really nice because I've never heard about this club before, just watched some YT clips and they have quite a big group and it sparks a little interest in the club itself.

Ah Cosenza.

Fierce rivals of Catanzaro.

Cosenza had been inflicted by the Mafia and also allegedly an Albanian drug scene. In general, most of the southern clubs are surrounded by external factor corruption.

Reggina is another example that is more high profile. Gladly they are looking like they're going back to Serie B.

I really like the book so far so I would recommend him to everyone who is interested in the ''Ultras'' culture and not the basic big stories you read on the internet nowadays.

Lega Pro C group looking interesting.

Bari, owned by De Laurentis (his son officially) and Reggina both have a big financial push this year and high hopes to return to Serie B.

Reggina has German Denis (in great form), Reginaldo and our loanee Rigoberto Rivas.

Bari has Mirko Antenucci and our youth product Karim Laribi. .

Serie B is getting interesting in everything other than the first spot. Benevento is just steamrolling.

that's what i have noticed for quite a good while now and it seems like there are few people who understand this. we're going to see what they would do in this next season.
