I personally don't think they'll love him anywhere near they felt for Conte. Their closeness with Conte is great for when he's here but it's a concern now that he's gone.

Here's hoping. Trying to be optimistic. With all the other names in the media, this is high and above the best choice we have right now. Let's see what he can do.

He was the best option available given our grim situation. I wish him the best of luck but will not be having high expectations.

I actually think Inzaghi is a better coach than Conte, but he has to actually prove if he can handle the pressure of coaching Inter and well the other fact is how much are we going to worsen the squad.

If for example we sell de Vrij, Brozović and Lukaku and we get Tomiyasu, Locatelli and Vlahovic then Inzaghi would easily do better than Conte overall.

If instead we sell the likes of Bastoni, Hakimi, Barella or Lautaro and don't replace them adequately (which is pretty much impossible) then we're barely fighting for 4th place.

Lazio have a poor bench, guys. They have some fine players like Alberto, SMS and Immobile but their bench options suck. Season 2019/20 they didn't overachieved. They just had only one game per week and that was main reason for their top 4 finish. Similar to Spalletti's first season here.
Indzaghi for me is a safe bet, considering that Allegri is not available. His 3-5-2 is different to the Conte's but at least it is not require a complete overhaul of the squad. With the expected sale of Lautaro or Lukaku + Hakimi (or somebody else) most probably, I think Marotta's plan is to save a good team for a top 4 finish.

A poor bench? They don't even have a decent starting 11, they have 7 good to great players and the rest are mediocre or worst, their defense specially is horrendous.

We got a championship with a Juventino and now we're aiming to get a championship with a Milanista.

Stranger things!!!

Romano - Official. Inzaghi leaves Lazio and he’s gonna sign as new Inter manager.

Allegri will be announced soon as new Juventus manager - Pirlo will be sacked.

Spalletti is one step away from joining Napoli as new manager.

Antonio Conte will decide his future ‘in the next few days’.

After de Vrij and Inzaghi, Lotito won't be doing business with us anytime soon

I can only hope and pray that Inzaghi is Spalletti 2.0 in that he'll at least be an adequate short-term band-aid that helps keep us in the top-4 until we can apparently have some fucking ambition to compete for the Scudetto again, at which point...somebody else...can pick up the baton from there.

I have my doubts.

(I realize how harsh that sounds on Spalletti but I'm not here to discuss Luciano in depth. I hope the gist of what I mean is understood.)

I appreciate that management didn't let this drama drag out for weeks. We had an opening and they swiftly filled it.

One issue which might distract him is his family. I've understood his wife is a piece of work and definitely is not going to move to Milano. So what is Simone's plan? I hope I'm wrong.

I googled it! So much botox!!!

Best news I've seen in the past gloomy days. Allegri would be better, but lets be realistic here. Top coach would not be willing to join our club in this current state.

Simone is the most sensible choices given our current roster and our finance situation.

He overachieved with lazio who has worse squad than us. The dream would be of course to get second star, but getting top four and qualify for CL knock out round would make me happy.

Just dont go out of toup four because it will make our dark era officially return!

Lazio's official message:

Rispettiamo il ripensamento di un allenatore e, prima, di un giocatore che per lunghi anni ha legato il suo nome alla famiglia della Lazio e ai tanti successi biancocelesti.

I think the short-sightedness of him coming here is a good thing. It means the club want someone better in a year or two or someone to get behind a new project. It also means they must be confident of our finances being in a better place after next season.

A 2 year contract would be perfect imo. I'm not exactly excited about next season at the moment but if we are able to keep most of our squad it is possible to win the scudetto again. Whatever, as long as we don't end up fighting for 4th place I guess.

Or maybe Beppe doesn't care what happens beyond next season and he can't wait to get the fuck out of this mess when his contract expires.

We got a championship with a Juventino and now we're aiming to get a championship with a Milanista.

Stranger things!!!

Nah. His brother is a Milanista. Simone is a Laziale.

He was far from the best option available. There are many good and affordable coaches in Europe but Italian teams including Inter have zero imagination and vision for modern and proactive football. So,from that point of view of zero vision...yes,he was the best available beetween Siniša,Zenga and similar names.
