I think Inzaghi can get something done if we sell Brozovic and Lukaku.
I agree with this.
I'm not getting Mancini vibes (2004), but also not Ranieri vibes.

Also this. Except for me, it is a better vibe. I think as long as we contend it, even if we don't win the title next year; it is good enough given our dire financial situation, and it will only get better as the rooster can improve over time with him.
I never saw Conte as a long term coach, for me he is good at building a structure and optimizing, but not exactly developing (adapting and growth), while Simone Inzaghi seems to be a good fit for this.

Count me in team Inzaghi. Always believed he was doing great job with Lazio. However, the most important factor is that he's not Rafa. We will be able to continue with the project that already started with him. There might be a delay in the progress of the project but it won't be a restart from 0. He's not the complete opposite of Conte like Rafa was with Mourinho so that's a positive for me.

Now it all depends on how many improtant players we're going to sell and how we're going to replace them.

Overall I'm happy with appointing Inzaghi.

Don't have one.
I see overall acceptance and optimism is raising again. :D

Nah not really, it's hard to deal with the fact that we are fighting for top4 again.

I don't think fighting for top 4 has anything to do with who our manager is. If Conte stayed and the team downsized like it's rumoured, he was also gonna be fighting for top 4 imo.

Conte, who was widely slammed on this forum consistently since the day he arrived, leaves and now all of a sudden we’re gonna go from a double digit point title winning team to Europa level and scrapping for top four? Nah I don’t see that at all. Inzaghi is a damn good coach who overachieved at Lazio almost every year he was there. He knows the league and he knows the players. People are being EXTREMELY over dramatic. We still have the most well rounded/talented team in the league. And that’s even if we lose a guy like Lautaro or Hakimi. Juve with Allegri will be much better but I’m sorry, I’m not sitting here and laying down for fucking Atalanta, Milan or Napoli. Unless we go on a fire sale(which I don’t think is going to happen) I fully expect to win the league. Everyone needs to cool off and realize we’ll be fine. Disappointing yes, but we’re not falling back to where we were.

I agree with you, except the part "I expect to win the league". I we sell only one of Lukaku / Lautaro (hopefully Lukaku) and keep the rest of the band we have a real chance. It depends also how Juventus will strengthen his team.

I blame Napoli. It would be huge if Juve didn't reach CL.

Also blame those who preferred Juventus over Milan in the CL spots.

In part, the blame is also on us (or on that referee that I forgot his name was).

At least with Simone, we have hope to continue and we are not back to square one

The good thing is that Inzaghi plays the same formation as Conte, so initially can continue the momentum and and can make his tactical changes slowly. So I expect Inter to have a great first half of the season, on the back of the confidence of winning the Scudetto. In this aspect, this was a sensible solution by Marotta.

The big question is that when Inzaghi starts making tactical changes to Conte's system, can he motivate the team to keep up the energy and ambition. Or will it all start falling apart. Does Inzaghi have the strength of character to be successful in this pazza environment? At the mo, I think not.

So my prediction is that we will start well, and then fade in the 2nd half of the season. I would love to be proven wrong tho. Inzaghi is a nice likeable chap, unlike Conte, so I really really wish he grabs this opportunity to take his career to the next level.

If they intended to sell Hakimi i don't get why they didn't go for Sarri. How are you going to play 3-5-2 without wingbacks? Who's gonna replace Hakimi? Florenzi?
