We will have to hope we have enough players with personality in the squad to avoid that. This team are winners now so hopefully that’s done something for them mentally.Inzaghi never has problems with setting up a grinding machine and winning a series tbh. He has done that several times with Lazio. His "real tests" are matches after the first defeat. Usually his team derails and he has no clue how to shake the players up, destroying the whole season.
Inzaghi has a timid personality and, as the side effect, is not a great motivator.

But that could be because he never had a side with the quality Inter have. He also never had a team of winners.
You don't need to be a great motivator to excel. That job could be your captain's for example. As long as you get your tactics right and you have players with the right mentality and are proven winner, I think the motivator part could be overlooked.
Sometimes a team and a coach just click. Like Sarri at Napoli. Let’s hope for once in the last 10 years we’ve caught some lightning in a bottle.Honestly, despite hating Conte in every way, it's actually a good thing that Inzaghi came after him. That's the only thing that Conte is top at, he sucks at everything else, but he can get everything from his players mentally and physically. And since Inzaghi is coming after, if he's smart he can maintain that kind of metality since most of the players are already accustomed to it and know that it works so he doesn't have to enforce it too much.
Inzaghi aint no BenitezWhat makes me optimistic is that Inzaghi has inherited a great team from a great manager. It’s very different from inheriting a complete mess of circus like the ones in the previous recent dark era.
It would take a mediocre stubborn new coach to destroy what Conte has built. Inzaghi is far from that from what I’ve seen.
I write that more than a month ago, regarding the same assumption about the lack of motivation or weak mentality. His Lazio team had many flaws but the fighting and mental strenghts were not one of them. His team had a few "names" in the first team but also a lot of holes. And the bench was atrocious.I agree with Brehme completely. Mentally he is there.
Also Lazio won a lot of games in the last minutes and they also were the team who turn around the most games. You don't do that if the coach is not mentally tough and the team doens't believe in his strenghts.
Under Spaletti we were the opposite. When we conceeded the first, the coach and players were like depressive pussies.
He said that he is extremly happy that club brought Dumfries, Correa and Džeko. Like this guy, he is modest, not fucking drama queen that wants to squeeze this club to last penny to bring him best players just to exit CL in first round. Good luck mister and thank you for having balls and coming to our club in this delicate moment. Hope you succeed here.
