How long do we ignore the elephant in the room that he looks like some sort of emo sadboy, professor snape perhaps?
I wish he listened to De Vrij who said we need to find the right balance between defence and attack.^ What I understand from his interview is that he doesn't intend to change our new style but he'll require more concentration when passing the ball. This will have some effect for sure but not this one we are hoping for.
I think we can find some balance, even unable to counter attack quickly. When we take the lead we can try to play more tiki-taka with more safe passes instead to look for more direct approach. Just see how we played right after Lautaro's goal. We attempted some very risky horizontal passes, some of which were intersected and immediately caused chaos in our backline. Instead to "kill" Atalanta's urge to equilizied and slow down the tempo, we were totally lost. We were unable to withstand their pressing and in the rare moments when we did it, we couldn't string two passes together. In these moments we also need some players to take a responsibility and to try beat an opposition player and to win a foul, thus slowing down the game. There is no balance, we have no fast players to play on counter, and we cannot just sit back and defend. We can play only like this, to try score goal(s) more than opponent. Thats our reality right now. If Correa steps up plus Dumfries than we could play on counters, with Dzeko and Darmian or just one of them in first team no fkn way. Especially with Hakan who is total shite so far.
The whole match is on him.The second half is entirely on him. Taking Brozovic out basically killed our game. He also took zero risks as if he was satisfied with the draw. Very disappointing.
And now he must beat Sheriff twice. Typical italian idiot of coach. The second half is entirely on him. Taking Brozovic out basically killed our game. He also took zero risks as if he was satisfied with the draw. Very disappointing.
