Got outplayed today. We should have lost more just like they should have in the first leg.

This one's on him, BUT:

Inzaghi with zero budget and no depth > anyone we've had with an open budget.

Honorable exit just like last season. We will improve next time with more depth.

He was always shit with rotations, so no surprise here... his fans should be happy tho, as i dont think big team will be coming for him.

He did everything we needed to win this tie. Diego only won because of the quality he had available to him on the bench. Imagine if Inzhaghi could bring on Dempay as a sub instead of Sanchez..

We missed way too many chances and didn't take this competition as seriously as we should have. The team didn't play like it wanted to advance and with all eyes focused on the league I can't blame them.

Wrong approach and wrong defense for this game clearly.

Should have played Acerbi and Darmian from the start.

He had horrific subs but let's not kid ourselves with the quality of our bench. Not only that but even our first team isn't as good as we play and that's because of Inzaghi.

We’ve done exactly one mistake; we’ve been shitting on every team this season because we’ve managed to impose our game play on them. As soon as we withstood the starting half hour we should have gone on with our game play.

Even bigger of a mistake was the experiment with Pavard, Bisseck, Devrij, Acerbi and Darmian. We conceded far more chances with the setup. We really should’ve tried Buchanan with pace and dribbling, he would have caused havoc to Atleti.

Sadly Inzaghi was the better coach than Conte all the time, because he had courage to do something, but today of all days he decided to rip his balls apart.

Pavard-Bissek-DeVrij-Acerbi-Darmian, I don't remember a single minute of us playing with 5 CB's in Serie A, wtf what a shitty decision today by him. Anyway he will learn from this mistakes for next year, like i said previous times he should stay at least 3-4 more years and i'm sure there will be a shot for a possible CL.

I disagree. De Vrij was in good shape. Acerbi just came back from an injury. We were counting on Dumfries to impose his body and speed on counterattack. But he did jack shit. Starting the Dutch duo was the right decision. But trying to sit out with 5 defenders in the last 10 mins didn't work.

Give this man some money to have a proper bench available

Absolutely. Depending so much on free transfers means that we need like 3-4 years to gradually get a complete squad for Inzaghi. We're definitely missing a few on the bench. Impossible to fight on all fronts like this.

I think it's quite funny. If we weren't absolutely walking the league, then I'd probably not care too much about this exit and think of it as an unlucky draw more than anything. Obviously I'm upset enough to be basically vibrating, but I'm trying to stay objective.

Much like most times we lose, I can't think of much to blame this guy for. Lautaro, Thuram, Barella (2nd Leg) and Arnautovic (1st Leg) could have put away multiple chances and we would have sailed through. His bench options are fucking dreadful while Simeone gets to bring on Saul, Depay, Correa, and that Riquelme kid who was an absolute demon; Inzaghi turns around and sees Davy fucking Klaasen staring at him  . It's not his fault Hakan routinely shits himself on the biggest nights.

Dude's a miracle worker if I'm honest. I'll have him for another 5 years.

I‘m on board with this, but not today of all days. He had the chance to insert a pacey player to shake things up upfront, but decided to leave him at the bench.

I also have no idea why Bastoni had to leave the pitch for Acerbi and neither did him looking at his reaction. The timing of subbing Mkhi was also questionable with him making glaring mistakes around the 60 minute mark.

Don’t get me wrong he’s doing a fantastic job with this team, but today he should have focused on us playing our game and not on containing Atleti‘s game. This was the deciding factor in the game. It is on him, and he has to learn from it, because certainly it is not a punishable mistake if you look over the course of the whole season.

Asllani is rather popular with the crowd. At least then we wouldn't reach the PK shootout.
