Genuine question when was the last time an Inter manager saw out their contract to it's end? And wasn't either sacked or left?

Good question.... Trap? Not sure if his contract ended or he just left but quite sure he did not get fired

Now Inzaghi finishing this new season, he would see his initial contract to be finished. But these two extensions now prolongs this "end of contract" event.

This is very short contract extension. I don't know why they didn't extend him till 2027 at least
got burned by conte & spaletti hence the reluctance regarding a longer contract.

At this point, Inzaghi won't stay beyond his contract if Oaktree is in charge.

Based on what?
Based on Oaktree being dicks, for not signing 29-year-old Hermoso, even Inzaghi likes him, and Hermoso actually lowered his salary demand. This is going to be ongoing problem. Oaktree does not understand that Inzaghi does not play youngsters a lot.

But according to Il Corriere dello Sport via FcInterNews, the Madrid native wants to join the Nerazzurri.

The centre-back is even willing to lower his wage demands from 5 million euros per year to 3.5M in addition to bonuses.

The Italian champions have been on the lookout for a new left-footed defender, so Hermoso fits the bill in this regard.

However, the club’s new owners Oaktree Capital have instructed the management to pursue younger profiles.

why would oaktree spend 3.5mil net on a spare LWB that's gonna be discarded when Buchanon - at least in principle - gets back to fitness. They want a more stop gap solution than that.

Whoever said anything about a 50m injection?

They already kinda already did something like this in so far as not requiring the club to raise plusvalenza to cover losses/etc from last season.

lol, you must be kidding right? Comparing Buchanan to Hermoso?

"With Buchanan out, Inter expect Carlos Augusto will play mainly at wingback next season. Therefore, he won’t be available to deputize in defense.

That means that Inter want to sign a defender who can play on the left of defense.

And Spanish international Hermoso would certainly be that. The Brazilian has shown his proficiency playing in a back three at Atletico over the last few seasons.

As such, Inter are once again thinking about a move for Hermoso".

The point is that we signed Buchanan. Whether I rate him or not is irrelevant, we've made an investment decision already. We need stop gap cover not a 3 year contract for a player in their prime unless we are revisiting the investment decision

Buchanan was never a regular,10-15 minutes at most. Hermoso would be a greet cover for Bastoni.

Hermoso and Buchanan have nothing in common. One is a LCB and the other a RWB moonlighting as a LWB for no apparent reason. Buchanan returning from injury wouldn't change that.

The problem is Hermoso is expensive as a reserve LCB when you have one of the best LCBs in the world already.

Hermoso is by far the best player we've been linked to. Everything else is a complete unknown.
