This may have been the worst managerial performance I’ve ever seen. We could’ve conceded five times in the second half.

Flop of the match. The first one leaving should be Pavard and he played full matches. Leao is drilling him too easy and he contributes nothing to the buildup play.

Second arguably is Lautaro for Taremi. But the Iranian eats bench completely.

We were destroying Milan right before the disastrous trio sub. And Inzaghi chose to take the core mid that controls the rhythm of the match out wtf. All of the Milan chances come after that sub.

2022 all over again. This fucking guy doesn’t understand sometimes you need to draw a fucking game. We were getting outplayed and his decision is to replace the entire midfield and our best defender with a fucking winger?

Biggest concern for me is that he rotates and picks players based on his experience with, not form, even with subs, but tbf international break was only after 3 games, then big matches coming after, several key players are not at peak at all at same time.

Similar pattern we have another international break next month then Roma and Juve up, ending with Arsenal and Napoli for another fucking break. This season is very hard to keep momentum.

I agree either Mkhi or Calha had to go at the 55th minute cos they weren't making any tackles in the midfield. The easy solution is to swap Mkhi for Zielinski. Half the stadium would know that. Dumfries was fine. Calha wasn't great but he should stay on for a bit longer. It was as simple as that.

Asllani was made the scapegoat again but it was Frattesi who costed us possession altogether. And with all due respect to Darmian, he's of no match to Theo or Leao. If we need a bit more stability on the right, just put Bisseck on for Pavard.

This game is 100% on Inzaghi.

Idk about "100% on Inzaghi". We clearly have a lot of players just simply misfiring. Lautaro/Thuram are misfiring. Pavard has regressed this season badly. Mkhi is cooked.

Is it Inzaghiball? Unless he can get his brother to put the ball in the net for us, Idk if it's a tactics problem. We're in the opposing box all the time and can't seem to find that last bit of lethality.

We say this for every coach though. Oh we can't blame Mancini our players don't score etc, then we get a new manager with a new formation and suddenly we have very different problems.

What a wet fart of a start to the league season. Inzaghi’s got plenty of goodwill from me so no real worries, but fuck me is it frustrating to watch him make the same mistakes he was making 3 years ago. Does this guy not have assistants that can point this shit out to him?

Sure, he makes puzzling decisions but they turn out OK for the most part. His subbing off players with yellows is a not well hidden " inside joke" . He's subs today were too late or down right wrong. First really bad coaching outing in quite awhile.

One scudetto doesn't make him a genius like it didn't make Spaletti a genius. He's still the same noob he always was when it comes to substitutions.

Vs Man city away: Takes out Calhanoglu, totally loses control, spends the last 15 minutes defending for dear life.

4 days later vs Milan: takes out Calhanoglu on 1-1 with 30 fucking minutes to play, totally loses control of the game, conceded and lost.

Against Man City our players were knackered in the last 20 minutes. It had little to do with "takes out Calhanoglu".

Today we never had "control of the game" to begin with.

We had control before he subbed out Calhanoglu. Things were on the up and he fucking killed it

I suggest you go read the comments of the derby thread before and after the halftime break.

We were bad the first 20 minutes, then we were better until Inzaghi's awful subs. And why are our players starting the game complacent to begin with? Shouldn't he instill some fight in them? First Monza and then this derby. We collect 50% of the total points available ffs.

Our issues so far this season don’t seem tactical. At least not to me. They all seem driven by attitude and approach. Even the changes today smacked of a “we don’t need to win now, we’ll win later” type of complacency. Just listen to Marotta: “This season is the longest ever” “We want to win the Champions League.” Etc.

It’s obvious the players feel the same. Whether they are the ones driving that attitude or they are just falling in line with management. I’ll assume it’s the latter, the whole building up the second star thing always seemed a bit weird to me. It kind of sets you up for a let down.

We have to be careful that this whole “the season is long” type of attitude doesn’t become an excuse to never kick into gear. Points matter from first round to 38th (unless Scudetto is already decided).

Also, winning leagues back to back is a difficult thing for some coaches. For example Ancelotti has NEVER done it in his extremely long career. Thats why you have to give credit to guys like Allegri, Pep, Conte despite sometimes underperforming in Europe. There are some managers who never let the level drop from year to year.

It should also be noted that it’s a lot easier to maintain a certain standard when your club will actually spend money. There are players in this team that have no business playing 3 matches a week. Mkhi & Acerbi looked exactly their age today.
