I really like inzaghi ball, but ffs he must stop bring veicno as first sub every fucking time, this shit start to piss me off, when this guy on the pitch, we playing with 10 man, this guy break a record with how much he can be usless, inzaghi need to wake up and bring players that can do somting...

We have barely used Vecino in the last month. He’s not always our first sub. I do agree he’s useless but let’s be fair to Inzaghi.

To be fair, Vecino was not that bad of a sub tonight, at least Simone uses him the best way possible, and also avoid Torino doing a Gung Ho on us for the last mins; plus using him with Sanchez and Dezko who kept coming deep to receive the ball, would drag their CB a bit out of position, which creates space for Vecino to run forward; there were a few plays that shows the idea. Not a bad counter play given our CFs are slow and old.

No, he wasn't bad, to be a bad you need play, vecino was totally invisible, he barely touch the ball, when this guy on the pitch, its like we have less players than our opponent team, like i said, inzaghi need to see that vecino contribute absolutely nothing..

NotForMe is correct, Vecino was there to open spaces. I think he was used the right way, anyway, no injuries, no red card, Barella had a breather, we won without conceding. I expect a lot more of that (narrow wins) against midtable teams til the end of the season.

Some of you guys miss the fact that Torino are in fine form right now. They have beaten Verona and Bologna, which are solid midtable teams.
And we actually created a couple for good chances, and in the same time didn't concede too much.
It wasn't poor game by Inter, just it was not so flashy like the last few.

Let's not be premature with the celebrations. Anyone can be a "winter champion." The January fixture list is brutal.

I'm optimistic, but also not expecting this title fight to be a laugher.

Tbf in the last decade or so the side that claimed winter Champs went on to win lo scudetto.
Only sarri's napoli twice and pioli's milan failed.

Jan is brutal but that makes the run in easier. Undecided which is better.

On this New Year, I'd like to profess my love for Inzaghi and his football. I'm a fan-boy, if you want to call me that.

I hope that Inter beat Liverpool not only for us fans of the club, but to leave a mark on how top teams from leagues other than England were playing at that time of our lives. Commentators talking about "That Inter team", etc.

Hopefully (if we win), it brings more eyes to Serie A. There are a lot of teams in Serie A that are very structurally sound from a coaching point of view (the Torinos, the Hellas Veronas, etc.) but lack the couple of world class talents that used to be brought in.

My biggest hope for the new year is that Inzaghi's football continues to win.

The way we qualified from the CL group (twice in a row) and facing Chelsea in the knockouts wasn't a good signal. We had a safe lead in the league but everyone just wanted CL glory that looked unlikely at the time.

Serie A was also taken for granted at the time, ironic that it was the last one, and we needed Sampdoria to beat Roma [and Milan actually, out of the race when they lost to Samp with a few games to go] and a last matchday win to cement the title after all, since Roma won like every game they played while we had several... issues with refereeing and dropped points left and right. Funny thing that Milan was close to us until that 2-0 derby with 9 players, Roma was 10+ points behind for half the season.

Speaking of that season and since we have Simone from Lazio, I fucking hate it when they assume that Lazio bended over to lose 2-0, as if we couldn't beat them. This was the same club that in 2002 could "bend over" and let us with the Scudetto, leaving no chance for either Juventus or Roma. Or in 2008 when it was us and Roma again, when we drew them... Fucking media and their nonsense!

Kudos to the man, he’s been doing an exceptional job thus far. After that turbulent summer mercato I wasn’t too convinced that we could defend our title, but unless we suffer an injury crisis this is ours to lose.

We’ve went through a rough patch of games between Fiorentina and Lazio but Inzaghi adjusted his tactics and we’ve looked very comfortable since then. I also see massive improvements in Calhanoglus game and Dumfries is at least gradually improving, even though he’ll obviously never be a Hakimi or Cancelo. Dzeko had a brief resurrection, but he’s just too old too and too slow at this point in his career.

I also love Inzaghis energy, he really transfers his passion onto the team well, we look like side that’s hungry for more titles. He never complains (at while being in charge of Inter) and is overall very professional.

Inzaghi makes me optimistic about the future, I hope that at some point we will actually provide him with a decent transfer budget instead of selling our starters and replacing them with cheaper players. Fortunately for us things are still working well, but at some point the lack of quality will be noticeable.

INTER WANT TO REWARD INZAGHI FOR HIS INCREDIBLE START IN MILAN

Steven Zhang is incredibly impressed with Simone Inzaghi’s start at Inter and he’s planning on rewarding the Italian coach.The Nerazzurri currently sit top of the Serie A table heading into the new year, one point ahead of intercity rivals Milan, although they have a game in hand. They’ve only lost one league match all season, and they’ve qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Zhang wants to offer Inzaghi a contract extension in order to reward him for his hard work so far. The Nerazzurri president will personally meet with the Italian coach to congratulate him and to start renewal negotiations.

Inzaghi’s current deal expires in June 2023 but the Milanese club are planning on pushing it back to 2025, as well as raising his salary slightly; he currently earns just over €4m net per season. The Inter coach will meet with Zhang in the coming days but renewal discussions are not expected to start in full force until the spring, as there are currently more pressing matters on the contract front, starting with Marcelo Brozovic.

This is such a bad idea.

Don't get me wrong, I love what Inzaghi has done so far. He has been so good. But he hasn't won anything yet. He is just 6 months into his 2 year contract. What is the f-ing hurry to extend his contract? Its not like coaches can fetch great transfer fee and we have to protect that value.

You want to reward a coach? Sure, good idea. Let him win something first.

We should see where he stands at the end of the season. He's not going to do what he did at Lazio and walk away to a bigger club, Inter is really enjoying having him and I suspect he is enjoying it too.

I think it's a good idea, Inter don't want to finish the season with just another year of his contract left. Plus, the extension will be most likely signed in spring.

It's ok to start working on it now, imo. Should be also motivated to get that small raise they want to give him in 3-4 months.

Better than start thinking about it in June and not have him renewed till the next season starts, and there's less than a year left.
