I agree. He deserves to stay. He overachieved this season... getting the title is the icing on the cake.

When this seasons started whenever i watched us play i felt literal pain, because all the departures and the unfortunate event with Eriksen.
I didn't think we could aim high, so i comforted myself thinking that even if we fail to qualify for CL this year, it would be justified.
But, then our team began to play well, we were strong again, even if we didn't have the same quality as last year. That's all on Inzaghi.

And time will tell if he is the right man, i think next season is important to show his worth, but we need to bring depth and quality to our team.
He deserves another season! But i really hope we win all 4 of our remaining matches in seria a. There's still a chance for us if Milan lose points, and the ball is round, after all.
He has to make a name for himself and he won't do that by doing just the expected minimum by the upper management. Losing the title to this Milan team won't stand well in his CV for sure.

His defending his fine for a squad player. He can't be blamed for being beaten in the air by a much taller guy . He can't beat Arnautovic in the air it's physically impossible unless Arnautovic doesn't jump.
The blame is on de vrij for not realizing this and leaving his teammate in the lurch.
I didn't blame him for the goal, i just say that he not good CB overall, its not his position, in fact i think the one to blame for this goal is sdv that has been really disappointing lately..

Gazzetta report Inzaghi will sign an extension till 2024 with an option for one more season at the end of the month. His salary will raise from 4m to 5.5m net.

Marotta
Well Marotta certainly believes in him. That counts for something.

I’m a bit torn about how to rate his first season. Probably between a 8 or 9/10 depending on how the season ends. I give a lot of points mostly because the situation really wasn’t easy with summer departures and many expiring contracts. Despite it we’ve managed to play at a pretty high level for large stretches of the season. He deserves another one at the very least.

Even if we lose all our remaining matches Inzaghi should stay and be given another chance. Italians need to stop changing coach like an underwear.

Rumor is specifically Marotta is not the biggest Inzaghi guy.

I'm fine with Inzaghi but if he doesn't win anything (other than SuperCoppa) I don't know about these pay raises. It's 40% raise.

If he lost scudetto to rube with Chiesa and Vlahovic available whole season I would say its ok, but losing scudetto to this Bbilan and fkn Pioli, thats a failure. He deserves another chance next season, but if he doesnt improve than he doesnt deserve new contract.

Depends on available material. With all rumors about Inter's transfers in/out, we will be happy if the team finish in top 4 most probably. Which hardly will be improvement to this season.

This is a very silly stat. The situation for the managers was totally different.
Explain? Becuase of all the coaches listed, Inzaghi was probably in the worst situation.

Mazzari, Strama, Spalletti and second Mancini's tenure had definitely worst squads imo.
Nope. Inzaghi has more quality but zero depth. Strama, Mazzarri, et al lacked quality but had deeper squads good enough to finish within a UCL place or at least for a deep coppa run.

You can't tell me Mancini's squad was bad enough to finish 10+ points behind Roma

They had worse squads and even worst depth. Our depth now is not good enough for scudetto race, most probably, but note that some of our current bench options like Vecino, DD and 5G were starters back then. Which says enough for quality of the bench.
Have you mean that Roma with Szczesny, Rudiger, Manolas, Florenzi, Pjanic, De Rossi, 9n, Strootman, Paredes, Salah, El Sha, Perotti, Totti and Dezko? Cuz this team would have won the title this year.

We finished 13 points behind roma, not 1,2,3,4,5 pts. 13. Unacceptable by any measure.

We beat them that season and a draw away. consistency and lack of a game plan were our downfall.

You cannot expect consistency when your players are mediocre. We had beaten Jube away with Starmala. Then they won the scudetto and we shat our pants. One win doesn't prove anything. Difference between Roma's and Inter's players back then was huge. I also was pissed about 4th place and the way how the team was playing, but then I have realized that with this squad that was almost the maximum. Maybe 6-7 points more but that wouldn't have made big difference.

If Milan wins this season, they won it when they won the second game against Inter in the league
