Conte ambition can tell one player to fuck off. In other hand Inzaghi still keep Dzeko and Sanchez. And happy with all of our forward.
It's Conte that brought a player that is now unwanted and will leech from the club.

Our first priority was Marcus Thuram, reports indicated we were real close to him. Then he fucked up his knee.
True.
There were also 4-5 other guys before we considered Correa, who coincidentally was on Ausilio's good boy list some years back, along with possibly 50 other forwards.

Just want to say that I like what I saw vs Lyon. Specifically how he set up the striker partnership. He seemed able to identify Lukaku's strengths. Most of the passes played to Lukaku were purposeful and allowed Lukaku to leverage on his physicality.

Not only that, Inzaghi had Lukaku actively contribute to the pressing, we finally got to see Lukaku close down the last defender or chase the GK. Not sure how sustainable it is given Lukaku's size though. The build up responsibilities were split more evenly between Lukaku and Lautaro, which should be a good thing, hope this carry over to the real games.

I expect the experiments will not end here, he might still try something in the first 2 matches, just saying.
Even our scudetto year with Conte, he was still trying nut shit tactics in the second game against Fiorentina, 1 CB 4 WB.

Plus Inzaghi is still exploring to get the best out of the team with the addition of Lukaku and no man-beating WB on the team, cause I don't think we have figured out our game plan yet.

In addition, I don't think it was that bad against Villarreal, and we tested something extra, we played Lukaku more of a poacher, and we didn't press as hard as the Lens game when he was on, so less transitional plays, but we played very directly, which is supper ineffective when you are facing a defensively disciplined team, which position themselves right and aim for clean interceptions. This whole thing reminds me of the 2000's Inter, where we have good quality players to stack up the defense, but cannot create shit, like space and opportunities, not even messing the opponent defense a bit, but heavily relying the quality of the strikers to make it happen by themselves.

The improvements we have compare to the 2000's here is we have more ability to control the match, and hold possession, so that we can pass out of pressing and surround them in the mid and final third, and hopefully with the caliber of Lukaku & Lautaro, we can score enough with brute force while lack of the link up with the rest of the team, but we definitely need a solid defense with this approach.

I can see that we can dominate most Serie a team with this approach, for CL Lukaku might need to drop back a bit more for target man duty, which Villarreal has demonstrated a competent team can easily cut off the passing to the poacher like that.

We also have a plan B with Dzeko and Correa which is a lot more fluid and will make Gosens and Dumfries shine.

Still Team Inzaghi.

To sit on the bench for a season with a view to possibly letting him play next season (2023-2024).

I'm haopy we won, but this guy could lose his job this season if this continues.

Well, I'll just have to accept complete fuckery this season, that started with Lukaku being here instead of Dybala

Just thinking this team really different than last season, suitable with Conte tactics but not Inzaghi.

Should sign Dybala or keep Sanchez.

Did not like his approach tonight. Throwing on forward after forward when trailing isn't going to lead to much future success. Dumfries changed the game - only player who was able to regularly beat his man.

Look at it this way. If he can't play Mkhi against Lecce, then are we supposed to count on him against Juve? Mkhi was one of the better players in pre-season too. I won't be too harsh on Limone on this one. But throwing 4 strikers against what's essentially a Serie B team is concerning

Actually, to be honest, I believe Mhki can be a good bench player for us this season.

And also many of our players are far from their best atm. I can't blame them because the management and owners seem to be having some disconnect and that is probably not helping, while Inzaghi has strange subs, like always. This makes me feel our whole team looks like they are panicking.

I have nothing against Mhki coming on against Lecce, hell, even starting. I'm just not sure why would you sub off Brozo AND Hakan. I know we were playing badly, but if you know that there is a possibility to play with a 4 man defence, you obviously leave one of Brozo or Hakan on. Luckily DiMarco was on for the whole game, the only good deadball player we had on for the whole game. Tonight we were lucky, but usually a 343 with Gosens-Mhki-Barella-Darmian don't inspire much faith, when we have Lukaku up front with two slower attackers. Just feels wrong, like ordering shit from amazon that you onow you'll never use

I'm really sick of his pussy ass attitude every time a player gets a yellow. He has other faults, but that kind of robotic predictability bothers me to no end.
Makes him easy to read for the opponents. They can target our crucial players, piss them off into yellow knowing he'll sub them out. Has he never thought of that?
