I don't know what to think about him, he did the exact opposite he did playing against Lazio, from playing strange weird tactics to counter Lazio to just be as boring as possible till 3-1.
Saying so, I still think the score didn't truly reflect the coaches' difference, I would say the goals we conceded are from induvial errors, and player brilliancy.
first goal - kinda obvious
second - it wasn't a spectacular play, and our players just decide to move away from Giroud, like wtf??? It also wasn't some attack play that got them to that position, it was a throw in, and everyone was so loose
third - it was a nice long pass, and nice lay down by Giroud, but at the end it was Leao that beated Bastoni and De Virj
Our goals are really from nice attack play.
Not saying Simone is blameless here, the switch up was slow, and also the game prep was not exactly right, like Milan studied us hard on the passing route and obvious the physical preparation is still not good enough etc, also at the end of the day the coach is still responsible for players' mentality and morale, but it goes deeper here, like how Sunning is trying to downsize the team etc.
Milan kinda played the easy way, they didn't do any really build up, they mostly just did pressing and counter on transition, and when they had the ball their attack plan was just crossing the ball mostly or just sprint with it; it is always harder to play the possession side, build from the back etc.
I feel like this one is more on the players that couldn't perform or execute what was planned (leaking defence etc. even you can argue it is Inzaghi's job to prep them well for it), I guess a lesson for Sunning, fucking our players' mind, would affect their performances.
Finally, how much our squad cost in general, we are supposed to still dominate the league, I hope Inzaghi figured out the plan A fast, so far we still haven't a clear frame work.
P.S. Thank you FIF so I can type my long ass thoughts. LOL
