We are sluggish and predictable in possession. And what was this reaction of Dumbfries when we scored? There is something rotten in the locker room. If Inzaghi cannot handle it till the winter, he needs to go.
What reaction? I missed that

i didnt catch the Dumfries expression, but i catched Dimarco when subbed out high fived Mkhitarian but totally ignored Bellanova.
I swear these overpaid fuckers behave like spoiled kids in kindergarten, and its not the first time.
but its on Inzaghi too, if he loses the locker because he is too soft.

If he’s lost the locker room anyone is an improvement. Remember United being turned around by OGS his first half year and he is hardly even a coach. I’m fine with giving him til the end of season. But I can’t lie and say I have a good feeling about this year. If we get top four and are sold to better ownership it’s a successful season for me. Any trophies are just an added positive. Either way I don’t see note want Inzaghi here past this year.

I think missing Lukaku screws him a bit, clearly Dzeko couldn’t not hold up the ball let alone attacking threat, opponents can easily focus on Lauti.

What I really can’t understand is why we have looked so shit physically this season. Being fit is such low hanging fruit for a coach. Being one of the fittest teams can mask a lot of weaknesses. Conte said if best in his first season, something along the lines of this team can only win by playing at full speed. Essentially insinuating we weren’t stable enough to win consistently without outworking the opposition.

I understand that there is only one Pintus and Conte was a drill sergeant but we’ve looked less fit then every team we’ve played. In todays football that’s just not acceptable, especially for an already slow team like ours. Half our defensive solidly came from Brozo and Barella out working the other teams midfield and winning loose balls. Couple that with less organized defending and Inzaghi’s weird player selections (which he got away with a lot last year) and that explains the start to the season imo.

Lack of both mental and physical fitness is honestly not too suprising when you take everything into consideration - terrible performances in the previous season finale coupled with the last gasp loss of scudetto, shorter vacation than usually for players, mercato that fucked with our star players, very early start of the season because of the world cup schedule.. it all adds up. Not saying it's an excuse for Inzaghi but none of it is exactly making it easier for him either.
I'm sure we will bounce back from this lethargic state of mind sooner than later but the question is whether we will then stay strong or just yo-yo on and off.

I agree. The team is clearly not in a good physical state, as some players admitted as well and that's a big factor in getting the desired results in this sport.

It isn't that hard but the problem is most coaches trust certain people they have worked with since the start of their careers and they won't accept an outsider forced by the club. When you hire a coach you basically hire a group of people he trusts. You can only hope his coaching staff is good enough for the job.

Given we're going through a bad period mentally, Asllani should probably be eased in until the core players play with more confidence and assurdness. Remember how shaky Asllani was defensively in preseason? Nah, let's not throw in the deep end. Unless you think he's ready to influence games, I'm with Inzaghi on this one. We've seen it time and time again, inter isn't a club to groom youth. Lets not ruin this one too.

Not much to complain about this game.

He seems like he handles these weaker teams in Europe easily.

After first couple of games, I think we have good chance to claim the scudetto. Our depth is better than last season, despite the obvious lack of quality in our game so far. The main reason is that the competition is also shit, and although Milan and Napoli look on step ahead of the others, I'm sure that they will drop enough points against low/midtable opponents.
Honestly, if Lukaku gets back in form and starts scoring regularly against low tier clubs, I'd say that we'll be the main condenser this year.

First we need Lukaku to get back to the pitch before getting back in form. That's the least of our expectations now from someone who was supposed to be an injury-free guy.
