Does Felipe Caicedo get called up to Ecuador? Never seem to see him in their lineup or the bench.

Felipe Caicedo isn't called up anymore. He had a pretty public falling out with the NT management and basically retired. He may be open to a call up now that things have changed a bit but I don't think that's going to happen

do you have guys from that Valle team. They are exciting to watch in Copa Lib

from the starters today Moisés Caicedo (keep an eye on him) still plays for them. Estrada, Plata, Preciado, Franco, Beder Caicedo, Junior Sornoza, Méndez all came out of Independiente del Valle

Moisés Caicedo and Plata especially are generational talents for us. I really hope they make it in top teams.

Round 7 of Qualifiers tomorrow.... we skipped 5 and 6 because of Covid.... and instead of playing them in the summer we switched the location of Copa America 2x. It will be played a week after these games end.

Any way. Tomorrows games basically all home teams should win. Only game that isn't clear would be Colombia vs Peru and Uruguay vs Paraguay.

All others are clear home team wins on June 3rd, Brazil plays the 4th
Argentina beats Chile (no Vidal)
Brazil beats Ecuador ( I mean if Ecuador wins or ties Brazil away then they are a contender)
Bolivia beats Venezulea
Uruguay beats Paraguay but will be a great game they usually are
Peru loses to Colombia. I mean Colombia got spanked 9 goals last 2 games but hasn't lost to Peru in 40 years in qualifiers.

Peru lose against Colombia at home then has to play Ecuador away. That is game over. 6 games 1 point in South America no one can come back from that.

Matchday 8 (June 8) - this round is way more exciting
Ecuador beats Peru (Peru eliminated)
Venezulea .... ties Uruguay (this game can go either way but home Venezulea can take some points here)
Colombia ties Argentina (god I'd love to say we win.... we just are notoriously bad against them in qualifiers)
Paraguay ties/loses to Brazil (good game)

Chile beats Bolivia

Depending on this rounds Brazil (12 + 3 + 1/3 = 16/18 points) , Ecuador (9+3+0/1/3 = at least 12 points) and Argentina (10+ 3+ 1/3 = 13-14 points) can fly away from the rest of the pack. You only need 28 points to qualify.

All favorable results for Colombia :)

I was almost completely right about the games

Really mad at Argentina for blowing their home game. Chile to me got robbed.... soft ass PK.

Worst call I have ever seen. A Colombian went for a cross and they gave him a red for no reason.

Ecuador is kinda throwing the game by reserving Moisés Caicedo (who's a yellow away from suspension) for the game against Perú. Whatever. This team is good but getting points out of Brasil in Brasil is pure fantasy

Thought Ecuador did great and the unlucky with the 2-0. Thought it would be a tie. If you guys had a solid #9 would be something else. I am interested to see how they do in copa America they are usually laughably bad in it. Alfaro is an interesting coach he was one of the names linked to replace Pekerman but they went with that idiot Querioz instead.

Peru is garbage. Going to be 10-0. They didn’t even try to attack at home or Barely defended.

I feel we were unlucky as well. Ref should've sent off Fred.

Thank you Peru for doing the unimaginable

Fk you Argentina and Messi you little troll bitch!!!

And the refs in South America for anytime the Argie bitches dived or went to ground it was a yellow or their ball.

I can’t believe our coach went into this game with 1 fking Striker. Argentina scored 2 in 8 minutes game ended up tied but man. We need none South American refs. They just don’t have the balls to give yellow/reds to Argentina or Brazil.

A clear hand ball in the 93rd minute and he doesn’t call it. Glad we tied up but tired of even with VAR the refs are afraid to give the big 2 yellows or red cards.

O shit Chile tied Bolivia at home !!

After 3rd round of games

Qualifiers are wide open but Brazil is in Qatar. All game benefited Colombia the most. With 4+ points and all direct competition doing very badly 2 or less points out of 6.

Bad results is keeping everyone alive on paper. Bottom 3 are dead. They don't have the roster and just too far to catch up. To me it will be the teams with the best rosters will make the cup. Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia and Chile. It really is head to head between Colombia, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Ecuador.

Each team needs to beat Bolivia, Venezulea and Peru twice = 18 points. Then try to get 3-4 points in the head to head against each other to qualify. 3*3 = 9. That would give them 18+9 = 27 points. I think the normal # to qualify is 28. Hence why Brazil is in. They are 4 wins ahead of Uruguay/Colombia who are 4th &5th. No way 5th place can catch up to that with 12 games left.

1. Brazil -18 points (tho Fred should have gotten a red against Ecuador and in the 1st 3 minutes they should have conceded a PK vs Paraguay)..... but refs in SA love to turn a blind eye to that
2. Argentina - 12 points - awful 3rd round only 2 points. Should have lost to Chile but ref gave them a soft PK. Blew a 2-0 lead against Colombia.
3. Ecuador - 9 points (0 points this round !!, blew potentially their chance to leave the pack and be 1/2 way to qualification
4. Uruguay - 8 points ( 2 ties as well. above Colombia due to goal difference and 1v1
5. Colombia - 8 points (totally blew the Argentina game by benching Muriel for an extra MF. lucky as hell to get a tie at the last minute)
6. Paraguay - 7 ( 1 point and a tough lost to Brazil)
7. Chile - 6 Pts (this team goes Super Saiyan again Argentina... should have won that game... some how ties at home vs Bolivia... mind blown)

they don't really have any chance to qualify but are defiantly going to ruin some teams dreams.
8. Bolivia -5 points (need to win all their home games.... they have like maybe 1 remotely decent player)
9. Venezuela - 4 points ( big tie against Uruguay but not winning at home cost them their shot. They have a great youth team that think was in the top 3 of the U20 WC a few years back so they have potential just not in this cycle)
10. Peru - 4 points ( big Win vs Ecuador but just doesn't have the roster and their team is so old)

Yea it’s insane how bad Ecuador is in this cup

Peru somehow always does well tho.

No one is beating Brazil especially with the way the refs don’t count their fouls or Pks

Haha love how this doesn’t hurt some teams

regardless the Brazilian/Argie leagues are so much stronger than the rest it doesn’t even matter.

Colombia just lost their defense if we can’t have EPL guys. If we can’t have Italians there goes our offense.

think it’s bullshit they should have let these teams play in March when Euro qualifiers happened. Now we have 2 months of 3 game qualifers

with basically dudes that would never make the NT

So Mexican, domestic/ MLS league players for all South American teams.

like euro fans can laugh but this is the 2nd time they have fkd with South American qualifiers.

it’s just a matter of time till Mexican/MLS are the two main leagues. This might just make it happen quicker
