Lucky? Luck has nothing to do with it. French know how to play smart soccer while Spaniards don't!

Spanish NT is always like a sponge. May seem big and fancy, but squeeze it a bit, it crublmes in your hands.

Vieira is a farking legend :star: I can't stand the guy, but if there is someone I want in a clutch situation, it's him. Please go back to Arsenal.

I don't think I have seen Zidane that happy before. He didn't have a great game and was the weakest link in the French midfield IMHO.

What a stupid mistake by Puyol! Didn't really have to do it, I don't know how can an experienced player do such a thing.

I don't like the french but I have to admit they deserved their win.

The Zidane-Vieira-Ribery trio owned the game, they could afford a weak performance by Henry too.
The moment I saw the lineups I thought the Spanish midfield will be inferior to the French and it happened. Apart from getting the lead through a PK as a result of a stupid foul by Thuram, the French were really better.

Aragones' subs had no effect, and I'm really happy this racist jerk is on his way back home, as I suggest he made racist comments about Vieira who showed him to shut up. :frustrat:

Spain f*cked up (again), and the French took their opportunity.

Hmm, the goal was great, but what about his performance?

Like I said, he was the weakest link in the midfield. He was demanding alot of balls (I have never seen him do such a thing) and didn't have the best of distributions.

Vieira was the man today.

I don't care if Zidane scored 4 own goals that game, just seeing him do that was huge for me. It was if I just saw my wife giving birth to my newborn kid...lol

Aha, now we know the reason behind the testy posts in the 'Beat your kid' thread! Congrats!

Jokes aside, I too was a bit emotional seeing him score and go nuts (in Zidane's way) after the game.

Oh Hamoudi..

I agree with lots that you said..but please...

Zidane ain't the 98-2003 Zidane anymore, but today that was again pure intelligence and class, specially in the second half. everything that was dangerous, creative, genius etc. came from his brain.

I was for Spain before the game, then after seeing Grandpa's line-up tied up, but the more I saw Zizou doing his thing, I got more and more into my ALLEZ LES BLEUS 2000 thing...and once Grandpa subbed Xavi out and brought Senna in, it was all les Bleus.

Puyol apparently wanted to go home early to prepare for Joan Gamper cup. ;)

Seriously...grande Zizou!!! That was another game to remember, and now please...do it like in 98!!!! Send the bra boys packing!!!!

ET UN, ET DEUX, ET TROIS-zero!

Btw. I would pay a lot to know what Vieira told Aragones... :D

I always thought France would beat Spain tonight and i have a £96 profit from this match!

Anyway, I'm pleased for le frogs. Henry gets revenge for the racist comments, even though it was discraceful he holds his face when Puyol nuges him in the chest.

I'm fed up with Spain. They had all the players to do well, but time and time again they can't perform at the highest level. They have major problems with winning. I expected a lot more from them

Luis, what a moron, i said it days ago and now i say it another time.
he starts with 2 strikers and very early in the second half he drop 2 of them 2 enter 2 wingers, i'am not saying joaquin and luis garcia played bad, but u can't drop villa that way, raul ok, he is finished.
but, what about the xavi change? luis killed all our hopes there, we were playing good football before the change of xavi for senna.
oh and pernia is horrible, now some people will think that rivery is world class, and i'am not saying ribery is bad but pernia is horrible, getafe player LOL, what a joke.

and the ref another idiot, that was not fault over henry, he dived, and yellow card for puyol, why? somebody tell me, in that fault france scores the 2-1.
fucking dirty frenchs, somebody will burn zidane house.

now without netherlands, ghana and spain, i'am going with italy hahaha

I wasnt supporting anyone in this game, but I wanted Spain to progress, cause they have always been underachievers. and yet again it remains that way.

Viera and Zidane are farking legend. I dont think that Zidane was the weakest link in French midfield, he was pretty decent. Spain clearly had the upper hand in the first half, but France gradually go into the game in the second.

Henry is still a pussy little moron. He once again sucked today, and does anyone remember his famous comment. "I am not a girl, so I dont dive when any one touhes me" . Guess which idiot was diving today. That wasnt even a foul, Henry and Puyol had both pushed each other

What racist comments?! Viera acted like nothing happened, but he slacked Torres..that made Aragones angry..

Joaquin did make effect..the moment he came in, Spain looked far more dangerous..he or Reyes should've started from beginning..

I wanted Spain to go through, but they simply didn't deserve it..:(

LOL, me too!

To be honest, I wanted one of the black French players to score a goal and make the 'Shut up' gesture to Aragones. I was glad Vieira did it early, but I wish he waited until he scored the goal.

About Zidane, to be honest, I wasn't happy he was in the starting line-up. I know I am cruel here, but I thought France were better against Togo without him. I also didn't like it when he was raising his hands in protest asking for the ball, Zidane never does that. But maybe I am too harsh on him. I wish him all the luck!

Anyway, about Henry, that WASN'T A DIVE! Go back and see it people. Puyol raised his shoulders and blocked Henry and Henry covered his face. It was either to make it look like Puyol slapped him, or maybe his jaw got a knock.

Henry isn't a big diver, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt this time.

Max, I think Zamat was referring to the comments Aragones made about Henry about a year-and-half ago.

Anyway, Torres made the most of a challenge and acted to get Vieira sent-off. I guess that pissed Vieira and then Aragones wanted a piece of the aciton.

I don't agree with you there, Puyol did not even touch Henry, it was the revenge of Henry from what happened in the final of the CL.

By the way, if Luis and the arrogant spanish idiots from the media are idiots, don't mean all the spanishs are idiots, arrogants and racist like them! please.
