Barcelona playing tiki taki with that defense is laughable.

Just realized Valencia is barely 6 pts off of relegation zone.

So the news is that Barcelona is trying everything to regain some of their flair and they want to bring Neymar back + Depay this summer.

They will try to sell Dembele, Coutinho and some of the younglings.

It would be interesting if they managed to do that, but I feel it's the wrong approach, they need to fix their defence.

They just want to win back all the plastic fans they gained years ago.

Real Sociedad is at home, admittedly the first game after the Barcelona game. How they'll respond emotionally on a short week - no matter the result - will be interesting. I'll be very curious to see if they can survive this weekend still ahead of Barcelona. Obviously a draw still leaves them vulnerable to Real Madrid, but Madrid is injury-battered and has nothing but difficult games remaining for them.

Honestly, even if Real get the help they need from Atleti dropping points on Saturday, it'll be a miracle for them to win the league. Home games vs. Sevilla and Villarreal, and away games to Granada (who just beat Barcelona) and Athletic Club, which is traditionally a very difficult game for them. I just don't see it happening for them. Varane just went down again, Carvajal is out, they're almost certainly going to have to use rotation for Kroos and Modric in one of those remaining league games...it's hard to question the resolve and steel that team has, but that can only take you so far when you're otherwise stripped of depth and physically exhausted.

It will be an intense few weeks between 4 teams who are trying so hard not to win the LLiga.

There are rumours in Spain Zidane could leave Real at the end of the season. Raul, Allegri and Joachim Low are possible replacements.

Allegri going to Real and, more importantly, not Juventus would be really well appreciated. Though I wonder if Zidane would then be in line for the Juve gig...probably depends on if Deschamps has any intention of stepping down from France anytime soon.

Low would be perfect for Spurs, sniffing his armpits and nose picking while they fight for a top ten position. Grande.

I rate Zidane, but I rate Allegri higher. So Allegri not going to Juve would be fucking great.

Possible game of the season tonight. A Sevilla win would be great.

Seeing their free fall a few weeks back, it was inconceivable that Atletico would be leading the table after this round of matches. Well they still have it in their hands. But they can't win 3 on the trot. And they will have to win all 3 here.

Atletico is killing it vs. Sociedad. Even if the score is 2-0 only, they had like 7 clear cut chances.

Anyway, Llorente is such a boss. Atleticos best player this season, BY FAR. And I thought he couldnt replqce Partey. He did, and is even better.

12 minutes till +4, 2 rounds before the end. Depending how RM does tomorrow of course

Partey was never anything special though. No clue why you guys overhyped him. Torreira is a far better DM and he's not even playing that much (covid related?)

Partey was all round player, not just a DM. And I beg to differ that Torreira is better DM, Torreira has nothing bar passing range on Partey.

Fabrizio Romano: Massimiliano Allegri had a meeting with Real Madrid this week.

- He’s in ‘direct contact’ with Real since March.

- He’ll accept the job in case Real will decide to sign him [Raúl is in the list too].

- Italian clubs want him but Allegri priority is Real and he’s waiting.

Spanish sources also report Allegri is the favorite to replace Zidane.
