Besides football/soccer, what other sports do you have an interest in? On the contrary, what's a sport that you despise?

I really like Baseball. It's fun to play and the history that some of the Ballclubs have is comparable to some of the most historic football clubs in the world. Chicago Cubs were an amateur team founded in 1870 to try and defeat an undefeated team. They later were charter members of the NL and went full pro in 1876. Juicy stuff, though it can be very boring from time-to-time.

I don't like American football.

like many Italians, I like motorcycling and formula 1. i love the olympic games, that's where i become a fan of pretty much any sport.

when i played videogames (which i only do once in a blue moon now), i also used to be an avid fan of touring cars racing, along with playing TOCA.

but i never was a fan of gran turismo racing: i liked the modified versions of normal cars you see everyday.

unfortunately there aren't touring car races on television, so it's not easy to follow the competitions and i kind of gave up at some point. but if there were on tv, i'd definitely watch them.

i hate equitation. the jockeys shouldn't be awarded any prizes or medals, they shouldn't even be mentioned. it's the horse doing the job. if anything, they should award the owner of the horses, like in Ancient Greece. it's not about being an animal lover or stuff like that, i don't like the idea of someone taking credit for someone else's job.

besides, they won't let motorized sports at the olympics, yet equitation, where the power doesn't come from the human, is at the games.

The jockey does play some role in horse racing but I agree that it's not the most significant.

I don't like sports like cricket (I don't love it so don't sing along) or netball. I like most sports though. Not a big fan of baseball either but I have some respect for it. When I say most, I really mean most. I can sit and watch football, basketball, volleyball, water polo, handball, beach sports, skiing sports (either snow or water), all kinds of hockeys (ice, grass, roller etc), futsal if we distinguish it from football, athletics - track & field, tennis and table tennis, I like rugby though I don't undertand one of them (still unsure which one is league or union, then there's the sevens) and I even like some of the women's versions of these sports. I like playing badminton but watching it is borderline torture. Still not sure if I like NFL or no. I like elements of it but I wouldn't follow the whole season, a couple of games a year is more than enough (usually college games + the Superbowl).

I feel like Baseball is the worst sport to watch but one of the most enjoyable to play.

I like plenty of sports, basketball, tennis, boxing and of course football. All of them minus football I've had a time where I followed them closely which tends to be in stretches, where I completely forget about them for long periods of time and then come back to watch.

The thing that have taken over sports for me recently and the main reason why I haven't been bothered with them much is eSports. I have a big passion for that stuff and I mainly follow the CoD scene and then CS:GO.

Sports I dislike? Definitely American football and baseball, I tried getting into them but why put myself through that?

I love playing volleyball, tennis and beach football. Cycling and hiking are enjoyable depending on the country.

I hate basketball, baseball and American "football" with all my heart.

I find batting fun. I'd really love to buy one of those machines that pitches balls just to relieve tension. Beats boxing as you don't end up bleeding unless the ball hits you badly in the face I guess :D

i never got to understand baseball either. i mean, i don't know the rules of other sports as well, but with, for instance, american football, i feel that i don't know them simply because i don't follow the game, while with baseball i get the feeling that the sport in itself is kind of messed up.

but i can't say i hate baseball, i just don't get it.

Baseball is veyr straight forward.

You defend at once, you attack at once. It's like the Civilization series. You get one turn at a time.
Other than the positions which is going into detail, you have the pitcher, the catcher (the guy at the base) and the batter from the team in offense. Rules about strike/ball are also quite easy and the trick is the level between the shoulder and the knee that the 'strike' zone is. And if you attempt to hit the ball wherever it is, it's a ball. And if you get hit with the ball without moving, it's a walk (that means, you move to the next base).
Three strikes you're out, 4 balls, you walk to the next base.

You can learn this sport within a day, it's too easy.

Well i dont disagree with that batting is fun and i went into one of those batting cages when in the us and that was fun. But playing a full game to me it s just more standing around and waiting your turn.

I have a real short attention span. The only thing I like about baseball is that it is the highest paid job for Hispanics in the US. Plus we run shit!! Other then that it is boring as fk!! Game can end 0-1 and be 15 hours long because of a “pitching battle”. Then Americans say soccer is boring because it’s 1.5 hours and ends 0-0, 0-1 or 2-1.

Basketball is kind of fun but hate the last 15 minutes where it is an hour of fouling.

American football is too much stop and go. And way way too fking long with all the time outs.

I use to like hockey but they would go on strike every other year and lost interest

why do you have to make it about races so aften... man...

however, i feel like baseball is a cool game if you want to spend some time outdoors watching something that doesn't require your constant and undivided attention and you can bring a barbecue with you (i'm not being sarcastic).

The best thing about baseball is it is very analytically driven. Stats are more valuable in baseball than they are in any other sport. The pace of play is painful at times, and the season is too long, but overall the sport is very enjoyable.

It's analytical because it's static. And it has created this silly wave of "statistics" in every other sport and makes every schmuck think he knows what he's talking about just because he's invented or read a few numbers. Not baseball's fault of course, but it shouldn't have indirectly exported this madness.
