Fiorentina - Inter 3-2
Roma - Inter 0-1
Milan - Inter 3-4
Palermo - Inter 1-2

Honestly, if we do not win the Scudetto after amassing a maximum 12 points in away matches with our 4 direct rivals...:):):)

Great job by Inter, so far. :star:

8 straight wins!!! is that a record?

Inter.it says

"The victory sees Mancini's side equal the club record of eight consecutive top-flight victories set in 1939/40, 1964/65 and 1988/89."

If we beat Messina next week we will break the record

Oh, we will, don't worry man! It will be 9 straight wins, what a record!

Btw, what is the record for straight wins in Serie A? I think it is 11, but I'm not sure...

Yep. And guess who ended that record? :shades:

By the way, this time around last season, we were also in great form with 10 wins out of 11 games, I believe. Or was it 11 out of 12. It's fantastic though, that the gap has not decreased seeing as we are in a great form too right now.

But we have to prevent complacency from getting to our heads as we have learnt from last season that we need to be consistent for the whole season, not just for the first half or so.

Hey Han,

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I have an explanantion for Mancini fielding a second-rate squad against Munich. I believe that he purposely ended our win streak in all competitions to show the players that they are not invincible.

By having them taste a bitter draw (or defeat), the players will stay level headed and realize that the season is 38 games (plus Europe) long.

mancini's not that manipulative

or do we give him less credit than he deserves?

either way, i think he was exercising some caution in overworking some of our players too early in the season

Heheh. Nice little theory there.

Though I think Mancini is too naive (:D) to be that Machiavellian. My theory is that the squad was tired and seeing that we have a tough away match against Empoli, he rested them.

But, no matter which theory is right, looks like his choice of action was correct, seeing as we beat Empoli 0-3 away. :)

I guess thinking along those lines would just be MOGGI-ESQUE!

However, I by no means am upset that we finished 2nd in the group. I would much rather play a challenging opponent than a featherweight.

When you beat a strong team, you always manage to feel good for the future.

You Matrix loving @ssholes. We wouldn't be needing his goal had he defended Mancini properly, who was given all the time in the world to cross for Taddei.
