he wasnt inter best defender

and he never was serie a best defender

and serie a dont have top defenders

serie a is high scoring league, defence here is shit and our teams getting a bag of goals when they play in europe

With no bench we lost in Italy to Liverpool by 1 goal then beat them in England……

But yea Epl is the best and Man U will win or should win every champions league and England has won every World Cup since they started :)

I do not think De Vrij should be given another chance to start at Inter. That may sound harsh but his defending last season always felt like it was a step behind the player he was marking. He was always playing reactive football as opposed to commanding football. If you want an example of the latter, all you have to do is look at Skriniar who was forceful, imposing and often on the front foot.

The result against Liverpool does not mean shit. It got us absolutely nowhere and effectively ended our tilt for the Championship. We were unable to maintain our momentum because we lacked squad depth and the players were gassed. Also, we should not fool ourselves into thinking we can cut it with Europe's mainstay Champions League protagonists based on that result. We may have won that game but Liverpool wasted great opportunities and could potentially swept us off the pitch at Anfield.

We lost by two at home. Otherwise a win would have sent us to overtime.

Napoli are closing Acerbi. So this is not happening. But that would have been ideal for parties.

It is baffling he extremely lacks suitor. He still has a couple of years of good service and it is not like he had disastrous season like Silvestre or Ansaldi. He surely is willing to accept lower wage considering the circumstance and he is under Raiola management which has huge network. I was quite sure Roma, Napoli, or even Lazio would welcome him or any middle-top La Liga or EPL could fit him, but weird that nobody is interested.

Why would he accept lower wages? He's only 30, so he should be at top level for another 4 years. Koulibaly just got a big contract at the same age.

Also him having a bad season is a bit fetching. It wasn't his best, but he wasn't poor. Moments like Giroud turning him tend to be sensational, but let's not pretend that it happened a lot.

I feel him going to Napoli for 12-15m would be best for all parties. He gets to play at a top level (but not top) club. It is obvious that the big ones in England are not going to come for him now. Unless he thinks that some interest will come if he's available on a free. But you have to see the situation of Dybala, Dembele, Pogba. Take this last big contract, and play in CL.

Why would he work on transfer now? He still has one year left with Inter, now he can't find new club that can offer him bigger salary. After this year he will be free-agent and then can take nice amount of money for singing, or bigger salary because he is free-agent.

I don't know I think the relationship with him is over. We are like please anyone buy him.

I mean its not like the Dalbert one that its like don't show up to training. But doesn't seem much better.

He could have been our captain he had a bad season and now we are like we will sk ur dick if you take this guy off our hands.

Like keep him for the 10-15 million that is rumored. IF he has a great half season start negotiating a new contract with him that is realistic. Be like dude we are so broke.... you can sign a contract with another team but a team with better prospects than us will not give you a better contract.

Unless your ambitions is just money in which Leeds, Newcastle or another slightly ambitious EPL team might pay your more.

Completely agree. He really has no incentive to leave, other than if he has another poor season he'll struggle to get a nice contract. He's betting on himself.

Losing De Vrij for 15-20 million or for free next year. I think it’s better for free but get one more year of service. This inter back line is looking thin, especially with the departure of Skriniar.

I think it would be big surprice if De Vrij get sold this summer?

As I earlier wrote, I think De Vrij will run out his contract with us and go bosman next summer. Then collect his last big contract and thats fine as we got him for free and he will be useful next season too.

He will get decent ammount of games here next season with CL games, can fight for another scudetto, he has good salary, nice house and he will get bigger money next summer when he is free transfer.

We would ask only a modest fee which would not impair his chance to negotiate a good wage. He may also want to move early rather than staying for another year in a system which doesnt make the best use of his strengths.
