How about you rule in favor of Stefan, judge? Maybe then he can focus a bit more in the games.

So his body is nearing 'finished' and now I'm unsure we can even sell him

I don't think one calf strain means that. He's played a lot. Even brozo who is never injured got a calf strain.

I actually think his injury helped us a bit in this particular game. I think D’Ambrosio added a little extra threat on that right side. Also moving Skriniar centrally was part of the reason we bent but didn’t break once we had 10 men IMO. I like De Vrij but whenever something goes against us it seems like he crumbles a bit. Skriniar’s mentality is much stronger.

Yes. Raiola doesn't get the commission he wants without selling de vrij for a decent fee. He has apparently guaranteed beppe atleast €25mil.

I expect either spurs or nufc.

Dislike the idea of playing 3-5-2 when he is not on the pitch. Bastoni and Skriniar can be both good anyway and we can play 4-4-2 against weaker opponents.

Sure, with EPL money we can sell above 20m of course.

20m are peanuts for EPL Teams, compared to Serie A. Inter / Milan / Juventus budget = Everton / West Ham budget.

Yesterday Sky gave percentages to the next potential contract extensions at Inter:

Skriniar: 99%
Handanovic: 80%
Perisic: 50%
De Vrij: 50%

I was surprised they gave such a high percentage to De Vrij. I guess a lot will depend on whether there's an interest for De Vrij in the summer. I believe he will certainly be sold if anyone offers at least 20-25m. But the question is what you're going to do with De Vrij if there's no serious offer for him. Do you keep him for one more season and let him leave on a free in 2023 or you start extension talks with him? And the most important question is if you can afford signing Bremer without selling De Vrij.

De Vrij wants to stay, that's the reason it's high. He's not going to Tottenham by choice (unless they are in a CL spot and offer him a 50% raise or something) and Barcelona who was interested probably aren't anymore.

So if there's a risk that he'll reject any other offers, we may have to cave and offer him the extension he wants. But we need to sort this out asap because his drop in performance is directly correlated with the decision to sell him.

I think his injury is turning more into being benched in favor of playing Skriniar centrally. The downside of that is that D’Ambrosio is now our main option on the right :yao:

Finally a great game by the Dutchman, I thought he looked less shakier against Giroud this time around.

Some random journalist says that PSG are interested in him, as a potential replacement for Ramos.

I hope it's true. PSG are not cheap bastards like Tottenham for example.

You'll see United wanting him this summer. Their dutch coach will most probably throw Maguire out

Just as Chelsea were up against one of their biggest rivals in the market for a world-class goalkeeper four years ago, the European champions will find that central defenders are in demand this summer.

Manchester United’s new manager Erik ten Hag will sign at least one new central defender, while Antonio Conte will encourage Tottenham to sign two if he remains at the club. Newcastle United could help push prices up in their hunt for defenders, while AC Milan have already dealt a blow to English clubs by agreeing a deal to sign Sven Botman from Lille.

Minus Milan, these are his potential move.

Ten Hag will go for De Ligt I can imagine. De Vrij is to slow for his tactics.
