De Vrij is actually earning 3.8m net.

But yeah, you would take the risk, I would think longer. Replacing two Inter level starters with two Serie A level starters from Torino and Fiorentina who have never played in real big matches is surely a concern.

If we really do it, I applaud for the balls but it's risky as hell in my books.

We're in a tough spot. There's a chance his performance recovers with a new contract, but it's a lot of risk. If you give him one and his form doesn't recover, you're stuck with an overpaid reserve CB.

This is Marotta's fault. This situation should have been resolved last summer.

Yeah dunno what it was with the contract renewal. Rumors were he wasn't even looking anything drastic, more like 4.5-5m level. Now it all blew to our faces and without much interest, we're in a tough spot.

Skriniar also came from Sampdoria and he made immadiate impact upon arrival.
And replacing 30 years old De Vrij who performed decently with 25 years old Torino's defender who won best Serie A defender is an upgrade.

If he's not sold, we're not going to let go in 2023 on a free. We're probably gonna give him an extension.

And try to sell him in 2023...

... and golden handshake him in 2024.

I wonder why Conte not take him.

He was best serie a defender two years ago?

Best at Conte era.

I think if we lose Bremer, Marotta may go after Koulibaly. Napoli ask for 30-40 mln for him, almost the same sum which Bremer will command. Koulibaly is 30 years old iirc, but he is still a monster, and has fuel enough for 2-3 seasons on top level in the tank.

Kuly and Bremer, that would be a threat.
