Completely agree. He really has no incentive to leave, other than if he has another poor season he'll struggle to get a nice contract. He's betting on himself.

It depends on how the situation plays out. If we get Bremer, and Skriniar doesn't leave (or if the negotiations drag out longer), De Vrij will reconsider his chances here. It's a WC year, and he will want to be play consistently.

He is too slow but playing with back 3 doesn't matter that much, and by the way he is only 30, not 35. Maybe it would be good to extend a couple of years more. Skriniar-Vrij-Bastoni have the chemistry now.
