Instead of blaming luck, we need to sign a replacement and I don't think Sensi will be back soon. Half a season players are usually short lived. Piateck, Sensi, etc. It's time to move on.

It's going to be a funny moment when we show our #InterBalls to Sassuolo and don't conclude this deal and then Sensi is fit and well in another Serie A team...

Would rather have #InterBalls than #InterMentalBreakdown. If he turns into another Rafinha for us - meaning, being great but ultimately injured most of the time, fuck it, we'll just have to find another player like him instead of getting him.

I'd take this risk and return him to Sassoulo and sign two promising young midfielders.

Rafinha was injured most of the time for us?

Here's what https://www.fcinter1908.it/copertina/sanchez-torna-sensi-consulto/ has to say about it:

"Stefano Sensi – Perdurando il fastidio alla regione adduttoria della gamba destra, si è deciso di effettuare un consulto specialistico."

The last bit means, in so many words, that they decided to consult a specialist. Which makes you wonder who exactly has been checking his leg all this time - the waterboy? the cleaning lady? I mean, seriously...

Nothing uncommon about that. It's standard procedure to consult a specialist in such situations and teams don't have them lying around. Not even most hospitals do...

Too soon to be panicking, nothing has been diagnosed officially , the discomfort could be an result from different variables.
Let's see the outcome of the specialists

If it is pubalgia and surgery is required he could be out for up to 12 weeks.

Rafinha was injured most of the time for us?

Playing for most of the half a season for us but then getting injured straight away? He wouldn't play a lot at Inter, it would be money down the drain, even tho I loved him here.

My point was that the same might happen with Sensi. Is he a great player? Yeah. Is he worth the money if he's going to be injured for most of the season? Debatable. Can we find somebody else? Absolutely yes.

Even if he was injured for most of the rest of the season - which I highly doubt - we should still sign him. How many midfielders have we had in the last 19 years who have actually been good midfielders, in terms of retaining possession and controlling the tempo?

His track record has a couple of seasons at missing a few games, but unfortunately like 3 seasons where he missed half :(

Rafinha participated in all games Inter played whilst he was here iirc. He just had a slow integration since he came from rehab.
Sensu suffered an injury here

There's no chance Sensi will return to Sassuolo. The main reason Sassuolo let Sensi join Inter instead of Milan was we could guarantee his redemption next summer. This is an option only on paper. In reality, it's an obligation.

We can show then our #InterBalls and tell them to shove it if we don't want to proceed with the redemption. It's not like they can sue us.
And it's not going to be the first time we say something and not follow through.

What the fuck are you guys smoking? Not redeeming Sensi cause he's had a nasty injury with complications? Just pass on one of the best midfielders around cause he missed like 5-6 games? This is madness. Absolute madness.

5-6 games? He's missed 8 already lol. And by the sounds of it, he'll miss at least 5 more.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not agreeing that we shouldn't redeem him. Regardless of his injury, Sensi, at that price, is a no-brainer.

Just saying he's missed a fucking massive chunk of the season. And worryingly, he's missed large chunks of every season for the past 4 seasons.. At this point it's almost a fact to say he's injury prone, sad though it may be.

if Sensi just returns in April, then I don't want him here

but if he returns soon, at least in January and has a great season, then he is the first one we should buy

When was the pubalgia diagnosed? The first treatmant is physio therapy, if that doesnt work in a month (and he is away for more than a month), he would need surgery. After suegery its usually a month till he gets on the pitch (10 days recovey, 10 days physyio theeapy, and 10 days light training to get into shape).

Since he is away for long, i doubt this changes much. He can still be back vs barca.

This probably cements him as a bench option, which means we have to go looking for 2 quality midfielders. Very unfortunate, I didn’t expect his durability to be that much of an issue but now that it’s like this, we better brace for a very cold winter.
