I get why we are looking to loan him and while he is looking to leave but it would suck to lose him without anyone coming in.
Why? He does not play. It is not like we are losing a player that has regularly played and on whom we have regularly relied.

He's absolutely useless.

He isn’t an important member of the squad but he is still a member of the squad. We lack depth in midfield. Someone coming in would be nice if we’re losing someone.

Let Inter start him against Venezia and Empoli. If he gets injured so what, least we'll all know where he is.

U want Van der Beek?
I will accept any player that can contribute more than being unavailable or only being able to walk to and sit on our bench.

You only need to look as far as our bench to see where he is. If he is not there then he is at home playing Fortnight.

If Sensi leaves, I think we will sign someone at the end of the window.

And like said, it's not like we lose anything, Sensi hasn't played hardly at all. What worries a bit is we def lack ball playing skill on the bench then.

Why doesn't Insaghi play him at all? He doesn't trust him, or is he afraid that he will injure himself the moment he steps on the pitch?

When fit, he is a great luxury to have.

Because there's like a 40% chance if he steps on the pitch he'll need to be subbed off anyway.

Maybe our concerns are right, though. He's given up and there's no evidence he wants to really try hard in his career - if that's the case it'd explain why he gets so few minutes

Obviously there's no basis for that speculation right now, but it would explain things.

Yeah, there's no basis for that speculation. Million things could lead to him not playing, that's only one theory. And even if it was true, probably wouldn't be the sole reason for the lack of minutes.

Honestly, I do think there's some truth in it, but there's no evidence for it clearly.

I mean the fortnite rumours kinda back it, and the lack of willingness to go out on loan so far too... if he was really working hard in training he'd get a shot, I'd assume, but I dont even hear anything about that - dunno if I've missed something but I've never seen anything about how he's training harder than other players, etc.

Considering where he was 2.5 seasons ago, if he wanted to get back onto that level, I'd expect to see some real fire and desire to break back into the first team, but nothing so far shows that imho

Eh, win-win for us.

Gets fit again and comes back ready to play, it’s good.

Gets fit and Samp/some other team buy him, it’s good.

Gets injured again and Samp pay his wages for at least 6 months, it’s good.

Oh wait, does that mean someone coming? Don’t tell me we have to rely on Vidal, Gag and Vecino as back up 😐

I would not get your hopes up about him getting playing time or even being able to play.

Personally, I think there is something wrong with him. He seemingly had to be pushed out of the door by Inter to actually get playing time at another club.

Think about it: to date, he has been content at not getting any minutes, not being a consideration, not wanting to go on loan and happy to collect a medal for winning the Championship. With the exception of Scudetto winner's medal, he has willingly accepted that status quo not for months, but for years.

What does that say about him as a professional footballer? He prefers the comfort that comes with collecting his pay and being a gaming than actually playing his trade as footballer. As a club, Inter should not want that kind of player nor should we rely on him.

I hope he will not wear an Inter jersey again because we have shown an abundance of patience and he has given us very little over the last few seasons.
