People are greatly underestimating the risk of this transfer.

The hope is he can stay fit. But players also decline after injuries. What if he manages to stay fit, but isnt the same anymore? Or even worse, he's both shit and injury-prone? He's 26 already, not much time to regain form and develop furthermore.

I prefer Perisic tbh, at least we know what we get.

Signing JoJo has 0 effect on Perisic. The plan is Perisic + JoJo/Salah.

Underestimating the risk is saying "he's going to bounce back for us on top form" and nobody is saying that. Everyone knows the risk of Jovetic but it's a gamble some of us feel we would take and others feel differently. There's no point dwelling on what will go wrong, it's better to look at what will go right and Jovetic isn't a slacker. If the terms of the deal are solid and protect our interests, then I don't see the harm in it - I'd go for it.

Sky and Pedulla dissmissed the ET in London for Jojo as they say he is there for personal reasons HOWEVER Sky says we are closer to Perisic as Salah's situation is unclear atm and we are also working with City for Jovetic as the negotiations with the player are going well.

I have a feeling the whole Salah-Jovetic-Perisic-Shaqiri drama will drag on the entire summer.

Love the guy, but I admit he is HUGE fucking gamble. Just like Viola with Rossi, even tho their risk was even higher as he had two major injuries on the same knee. Jojo has had tons of smaller injuries and 1 big one back in 2010.

He was relatively fit 2012-2013 tho. Those two season he was one of Serie A's top players. Scoring AND assisting. That's why City got him for that huge money. In city his injury problems started again.

That being said, even tho he is huge gamble, i'd take it. He never had big knee injury since 2010, which is good. People didn't want Wesley because he was injury prone too ;)

Yeah, but we bought Sneijder to try and win the Champions League, we were also a rich club back then (or at least pretended to be), we could afford to only get only a good season or two out of him, which is exactly what we got. Now we're supposedly building a project, we can't afford Jovetic.

Also injury prone players can always get a couple seasons where they can play with continuity once or twice in their careers, the problem is that you can't never predict when is going to happen.

It's one thing that you get a talented player that ends being injury prone, maybe you can try to stick with him through the bad times. Knowingly getting an injury prone player is fucking retarded, specially if you're short on money and need every penny to count.

The goal of this 'project' is make Top 3 and we might only need a year or two out of Jovetic. It's a very similar situation as Sneijder.

Once again, 39 appearances in two years. I dont know how being positive and looking on the bright side can ease the risk of this transfer. Even if the contract protects us from injury somehow, and he does indeed get injured....then well we are out a player that we had signed to be a steady contributor. Age is still on his side, but theres also the risk that he takes time to gain fitness and form.

Cuadrado (if there is a chance in hell), salah, jovetic. In that order. We dont have the money or the presence in european competition to warrant or risk this sort of transfer.

Except we could afford to lose a season on Sneijder, the CL on 2010-11 would have worked too, in fact I bet Management didn't expect it would come in 2009-10.

Not reaching CL spots this season means the project would have to be restarted again (if that's even possible at this point), since we'll to sell Kovačić and Icardi, or even probably both. We just can't afford to gamble on Jovetić.

Remember we've been fucking around for four seasons already, not accomplishing anything, not really building anything, wasting tons of time and money. This season is make it or brake it, if we don't want to enter another one of those long periods of obscurity we as Inter fans are so familiar with.

In the last 5 seasons Jovetić have played an average of 1199 minutes.

Last season Brozović who arrived at half season played 1058 minutes with us, Kovačić played 2463 minutes, Medel played 2992 minutes (our field player with the most minutes), playing all 38 games is 3420 minutes for comparison.

Jovetić has lost 19,4 Games per season on average in the last five season, that's half a season lost to injuries, without even taking into account the amount of time it takes to regain match fitness and even harder to regain form.

GdS: Stevan Jovetic, Ausillio had a four-hour interview with the agent of Montenegro with whom it would have been a four-year contract to three million ' year. There is now talk of the City who would not wish to sell the striker for less than twenty million.

Fuck, 20m is a lot. He was bought 2 years ago for 35m, and hasnt been impressive, not to mention the injuried he had. Loan with obligation to purchase for 15m is the best solution.

Taking the last 5 seasons of jovetic is unfair assessment on him tbh. 5 seasons ago jovetic had a torn acl and put him aside for the whole 1 season. taking this season into you calculation definitely will lower his average minutes.

Jovetic played a total of 7032 minutes in the last 4 seasons which is on average 1758 minutes. If we divided the average by 90 minutes, then he would have average of 20 games per season. But then again, it is an unfair comparison. Kovacic, Medel and Brozovic have more time and chances to play. Jovetic faces more competition in Man City.

How about Shaqiri?
2014/15 1717 minutes.
2013/14 1226 minutes.
2012/13 1911 minutes.
2011/12 3081 minutes. (Basel)

average 1983 minutes in the last 4 years. average 1618 minutes in the last 3 years. Does this make Shaqiri a worse player than Medel, Brozovic, Kovacic, etc? Or this actually justifies the sale of Shaqiri to Stoke.

Jovetic had 2 good seasons with 29 games and 34 games after his ACL and before he went to City and started to have love hate relationship with hamstrings.

Getting Jovetic and selling Shaqiri is like plus one and minus one.
