Report: Inter strike Jovetic deal
It’s reported Inter have agreed a fee with Manchester City for Stevan Jovetic, but there’s disagreement over the payment method.
The player’s agent was in Milan today to negotiate with the Nerazzurri, who are keen to add another attacker to their squad.
Following that meeting, Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that a deal has been agreed, with Jovetic signing a four-year deal, and City receiving €20m.
However, it’s believed that the Beneamata are requesting to pay the fee over four years, and want the Montenegrin international on an initial loan basis, with a mandatory redemption clause.
The English side would prefer €20m up-front, something which could prove difficult for Inter, who have Financial Fair Play obligations, and are wary of spending too much, despite not being in Europe this season.
