11m is seriously cheap. Watch him excel under Jardim and be sold for 30m next year.

Meh, it doesn't matter really. We wouldn't have been able to sell him for more than what we got obviously. If he's sold next year for 30M then props to Monaco, we'd have nothing to complain about.

A part of me thinks that, had we accepted Sevilla's offer, we would have had the money to get Schick; the other part, however, is sick of those Spanish beggars. So fuck you Sevilla.
We could have asked for a little more, though, considering that Monaco are loaded now.

He is basically a Monaco player on the same day Schick goes to Roma.
Barbosa is going to leave for Benfica as well?

Panic buys, we meet again.

Assuming that Jovetic to Monaco is a done deal™ ("done deal" is a registered trademark of enjoy. All rights reserved.) and if Gabigol moves to Benfica or elsewhere, we're very suddenly looking quite thin up front. That leaves us with only Eder and Pinamonti on the bench.

From what I've seen, I'm convinced that Eder can do an acceptable job playing anywhere across the front three, even if it's not ideal. If Schick is as good as many say, then it would have been good to get him, now that Jovetic and Gabigol appear to be leaving, but apparently he's going to Roma.

I'd have been fine with Jovetic staying but if he was unwilling to accept a bench role, or if we needed money from his sale and removing his wages then him leaving is also OK. Either way, the outcome is that we've added more work to our plate for the remaining days of the mercato. In addition to signing some CB's, which is highest priority, we also need to sign a forward. No idea who that might be at this point.

I hope we got a sell on clause in the deal.

Although, I actually get the feeling he'll stay at Monaco for a while. He might have finally found his footballing home. Look for him to tear it up in the CL against the big sides.

But we have Icardi, who is usually healthy, and Eder, who is fine as a back-up CF. And we're only in one competition. Barring an injury crisis I don't think we need to buy another CF. We do need another winger or two though.

Former Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic has been caught up in one of the most bizarre stories of the transfer window.

Inter Milan striker Jovetic was on his way to Monaco to join the French champions and caught a helicopter from Nice airport to watch their game with Marseille.

But also on the helicopter was Marseille chairman Jacques-Henri Eyraud who did not recognise him, started a conversation and told him they were signing Jovetic.
Jovetic then revealed who he was, Eyraud lost his temper and angrily told him a medical had been booked and a deal had been agreed.

I would keep Jojo than sell him without a signing replacement. When fit, JoJo can be a match winner.

I don't know what we expected, he was in serious rotation for 2 months when he arrived and in pre season games.

I am happy for him that he left because it's a shame to leave such a talented lad on the bench but he couldn't find space in Spaletti's tactics.
