I don't subscribe to that at all.As long as he hires competent people to run the club and competent players and invests in the club i could not care where he is based.Infact given the current financial situation him being around here and being constantly asked about the finances would only destabilise the club.

For me chaps like de Laurentiis and Cairo and Lotito and Agnelli and the rest are more a nuisance with their outlandish views and comments in general than a net positive on the team.

Percassi Atalanta, Commisso Fiorentina, Saputo Bologna still managing their clubs better than Suning, they can invest real money and getting big profits too.

What's costing us is not Suning or Steven, but the capital control in China and their obsession with Covid Zero (in contrast with the "messy world out there") which crushed their high-growth economy.

On a personal level, Steven Zhang was sos much better than freaking Thohir. You'll see Steven liking the player's posts all the time and I think he actually cares about the team. Nepotism? Sure. But he doesn't seem to be a reckless playboy. And his American education background (plus Marotta) actually brings a sense of calm to the club. When we used to be run by 100% Italians, it was just like Alitalia.

Getting PIF would be amazing and we desperately need extra capital to stay competitive. But yeah, I kinda appreciate what this guy brings/represents even though he's younger than most of us.

I`m not sure we desperately need PIF or another major shareholder to stay competitive. As thing stand, we`re the most competitive in the league.

Which means that Zhangs have been doing a fine job, mostly due to trusting the right people and smart investments. Thohir did a lousy job becasue he trusted Kia and was not even involved at the club.

I just hope they find a minority investor as they plan, because their management is yielding positive results.

The zhangs also trusted kia, that's who brought j Mario and gabigol which forced mancini to resign and probably set us back 2 years.
