I am confused. What would Zhang have done differently? Approve Ricardo Rodriguez?

Im willing to bet Hermoso wouldve been training with us by now if he was here. While Suning were dead broke it appears Oaktree are unwilling to invest much and do not care about the club. At least with Zhang his passion wasn't questioned.

You can also bet Thuram would have been put on the market. Biasin had already started talking about it in the previous months.

You guys have a very short memory if you actually miss Suning post covid. What exactly do you miss? One euro out one euro in (which was never materialized as there was always profit from sales) directive from Zhang? Sellling starters every summer? If Zhang had stayed it would have been another summer of capital gains and wage bill cuts. Club had stayed competitive only because Marotta and Ausilio were performing miracles in the last years. Nothing to do with Zhang and his passion.

Since Oaktree came they leaked to the media they're willing to cover 2024 financial losses themselves with capital increase, we have extended contracts of our starters and coach, there are zero rumours about sales, they're willing to launch u-23 team and we have even spent 15m on a new GK and we have 10m budget for a backup cb without selling anyone. Oaktree are far from ideal and the sooner they sell the club the better but this is the first quiet summer (in a good way) we have been experiencing since covid. I haven't missed Zhang for a second.

I think this is unfair tbh
I think oak tree have capital increased js already which means we haven't sold someone we would have sold.

Oaktree wants to build a young project. So it takes time then ofc you guys wouldn't see their result in their first months.

We have bought a bunch of talented teenagers. Let's wait and see if at least one of them'll be good enough, or generate sweet plusvalenza. Like how Juve is funding their Mercato with Illing Jr & Soule & Hujsen; impossible with grandpas.

Starting to miss you steven. Miss your laugh and awkward handshakes. Miss the way you wanted to sign players even if it led to your eventual demise. Miss the way you felt the pressure to go for the league like getting thuram augusto and pavard. These new guys man, I tell you, they don't get it...they got this weird vibe where it's just distracted board-room suits eating expensive loser grilled chicken salads, talking bottom line finances, introducing themselves with "Hello fans of Inter". They don't party or drive sick cars, no bucket hats and open button ups with sick shades. No more late nights in milano, light dinners and frequent freshen-ups in the gentleman's room.

I'm sorry for you because you couldn't get to finish what you started. Lots of highs, lots of lows, and away she goes. Hopefully I'm being paranoid and praying I'm wrong, but I miss you steven.

You can't just keep spending like we did last summer. If we could, we would.

I'm glad we are going for younger players. At least the wages will be lower and with that we make more space for a free agent with bigger wages if the opportunity presents itself.

We are not going to win shit with that strategy. The free agents would be close to 30, right? More like Hermoso, who in Oaktree's eyes is too old.

We are apparently signing a free agent, who is 18. Free agents come in all shapes and ages. But yes, most free agents we would be interested would be closer to 30, which I'm all up for, but our new overlords aren't.

Spending big money isn't everything. If it was, Moratti's Inter would've won a lot more trophies. Asllani and Bisseck are proof we don't need 34+ year olds on the bench to be winners. Or at least, not just a collection of 34+ year olds.

Not sure about Asllani.

How so? He was our bench player last season and we ended up winners.
Yes, but he was never a starter, when Hakan was healthy. He will never be a starter while Hakan is here.

I don't want to argue, but I did say that as a bench option he is proof that we do not need just oldies on the bench. Inzaghi trust him to at least finish matches when Hakan needs a breather.

Can we at least agree on that? How many times he started means nothing in this argument.

Yes, Dave just didn't read what was actually written.

But it's a different ball game to sign these 18-year-olds and sign 21-year-old Asllani who has actually played against men, and actually already in Serie A (even if it was just 6 months).
