this is from Lemonade, insurance company, removing "impact from catastrophes" to make the result seem better.
WHAT. THE. FUCK.

SEC asleep.... How can they allow retail to pour into this fucken thing is beyond me. Anybody in the industry knows that this is fucken laughable...
Just like their claims of supposedly superior data and analytics tools is pure BS.....
Theres a ton of companies out there getting away with "creative" accounting that is borderline fraudulent...
Not sure whats worse this or how SQ accounts for their BTC revenue....
Imho both would not be possible or should not be allowed if auditors and regulators were paying attention.....

sadly I only put in $500 in crypto and Gamestop last year.... it went up an insane % but nowhere near enough to buy Inter. Too bad we don't have a insane billionaire superfan that could save us

Bit if a side topic, but any of you guys got any good saving accounts that you use? My savings account interest has went way way down so its not worth it basically. Want to move my money somewhere. Or any "safe" investment...

Also, have any of yous signed up or ever done the peer to peer loans? I've seen some sites that do it. I'm tempted. Like I lend 1000 to someone and in 4 weeks I get 1100 returned.

I put some money into mintos not much though...
Has been working quite well and returns about 8% even though i only invest in loans with buyback guarantee...
That being said since last year they removed a lot of lending companies(rightfully so) also after markets crashed last year and covid hit a ot of my loans are delayed like i got 140 euros in recovery currently and i originally invested 1k so my 8% would go down to like 4% if those funds cannot be recovered. Still better than any savings account though....
I chose mintos cause out of the platforms that seemed legit it offers the highest returns as in the swiss equivalents highest interest on any loan was 6%.
Also they have an automatic pofo construction tool where you can chose to only invest in secured loans and what kind of return you want and so on...
They also offer a secondary market so you can sell most loans you invested in at any time if your not happy to hold em.
General advise would be to diversify even if you just put 1k as the creditworthiness of creditors and the different lending companies is hard to assess even though mintos gives you tools to do so....

Also in case you decide to do a mintos account would be nice of you to hit me up so i d get some bonuses if i give you my customer code..

Cool. I'll check it out. I've got some money sitting in a savings account paying 0.01%, so I'm happy enough taking a risk. Im literally losing money there.

Send me the code sure and if I sign up I'll use that

Bought 8 shares (lol) averaging $10. Will sell one if/when it exceeds $80, and see where it goes.

?

EDIT

About AMC, this was a 2 dollar stock that people didn't want even if they were offered it for free, if u got in at 10 and sold anywhere in the spike u did well regardless. I bought at 6 and it spiked at 24 in january and i didnt sell and it was bought down to 6 again, so always sell spikes and get it again with a stop loss if u see good support.

Today its getting decked but dont be surprised to see it at 100 at some point, its gonna have the 30-60 range then at one point it will gap up again when least expected.

EDIT 2: 35-60 in One session, red to Green

All while floating the market with another 11.5 mio shares yesterday....Pre pandemic those shits had 51mio shares outstanding now they re at a whopping 513 mio retail getting lead to the slaughter house once again all for a couple of buckets of free popcorn.

Side note those reddit types really seem to love to pump up dying industries...

Once again kudos to those who made money but dont get blinded this is a borderline worthless stock as that industry just wont come back on the long run and mgm indicating that they want to expand and buy new Cinemas does not make the situation any better.

What pisses me off is how some are trying to call this a "revolution" led by "rebels". Those motherfuckers should be put in jail.

Never been into stocks nor cared about them but I'm starting to seriously consider getting into it just from the wealth of information you guys provide here, feels like I'll get a jump start to it.

After 2 years I've done it, opened a trading account and just wired 2k in it.

Losing monies, here I come.

It's better to lose money in stocks than in inflation :D

I have made a big bet on Shell (options expiring September) and shares. Everything is pointing out to a great re-opening, combined with 1 year blackhole in their budgets from OPEC countries, oil prices may sky rocket.
