If it was up to me the forum wouldn't allow avatars and signatures at all. Just a suggestion though. Not gonna happen..

Why not? I know it's a hassle for those with slow connections, bu it adds flare to the forum.

But I like the rules here regarding avatars limit. In some other forums where big avatars are allowed and sigs contain clips and huge pics, it takes forever to load. I think it's fine the way it is here.

Yes, I agree with Hamed. Actually in some forums you are given the option to disable the avatar option.

I like the Avs how they are, makes it easy to recognise the poster without looking at the name (ok, so im lazy...) & adds a bit more colour to the boards! It's hardly slow loading cos they're only tiny tiny files.. so I think we should definitely keep them
