A guy complaining that "will" was spelled "well" instead of arguing the point. Isn't that sort of the thing that defines what a desperate man would debate a single point?

You are missing the point einstein.:wallbang:

HOW am i supposed to know, judging that post, that he means the entire world and not just Inter?

Please give me another smartass reply on this.

Actually, that was a good point. I couldn't either to be honest, so I retract my opinion that your certain point made no sense. Doesn't mean that every single football point regarding evaluations of players, makes no sense, but still.

Wow, i am happy with this roumor...:)

I was telling you guys that he is great player, from the begining of the last season... He is great defensively, great shot, stamina, perfect player... If not as a starter, the best sub we could have bought...

With good work and great coach he can easily become new Essien, Mourinho have some fetish for that strong African midfielders. :D

These media guys better be wrong about this. If muntari means no quaresma I will be very disappointed.

Inter await Muntari medical
Thursday 24 July, 2008
Portsmouth midfielder Sulley Muntari is set to complete a move to Inter tomorrow after a deal was agreed by all parties.

The Nerazzurri have temporarily given up on signing Chelsea star Frank Lampard and have turned their attentions to former Udinese star Muntari.

Despite Portsmouth’s reluctance to sell the Ghanaian international, the Italian champions have agreed a fee of £12m with the Fratton Park outfit.

Portsmouth directors will arrive in Milan tomorrow and Muntari will undergo a medical at San Siro.

Club doctor Franco Combi is set to leave Inter’s camp in Brunico this evening to travel back to base top conduct the tests.

Muntari will sign a five-year deal with a starting salary of nearly £1.6m, which will rise to £2.4m.

The move is likely to put an end to the Beneamata’s interest in Portuguese ace Ricardo Quaresma.

Why? just why?

It can't be about the money, because Muntari's cost is closer to Lampard's. So we can't say that Inter just spent their transfer money on Muntari, and because of which we don't have enough money to sign Quaresma. We were going to spend that money on Lampard but were still going to sign Quaresma anyway.

I'm sure muntari doenst mean the end of the summer transfers. Mourinho has made it clear he wants another winger. And quaresma is that winger. I'm sure if RQ doesnt come we will soon be linked to some other decent player. I say muntari will come, and soon after either RQ or an unexpected surprise.

Muntari is solid and i think he's good enough for inter. I watched a few portsmouth games and he was the best player in every game i saw. He was solid for udinese, and he was young as hell then. Lets hope he grows to be great, because he's really class you will have to wait and see.

Quaresma Mancini and Muntari is not bad at all for a transfer window. With them 3 plus our current mids i say we have the best in Serie A. Quaresma ibra and mancini in a lineup is tricky feet central, and defenders won't know which one to double mark. Muntari is solid and to me is a better younger version of viera, splashed with a bit more offensive prowl and strength. He is very underrated and hate seeing people criticize him as a mediocre player, he's very good, and at times great. NT experience as well, this guy is a steal if he comes.

There are 3 or 4 players who need to leave, Inter have 26 or 27 players now, and still need one offensive midfielder OR a winger.

I'am sure he can be the new Essien, maybe not at that level, but close.
The problem is, it's too much money, i understand he is young but he hasn't proved he is worth 17 million euros.
Another problem i find is that if we add Muntari to our midfielders, all are very strong, but still not much creativity .

That's the most ridiculous bullshit I've read for a long time. Don't believe those idiot journalists. I'm 100% sure we haven't pulled out of the Quaresma deal. My own opinion.

his creativity is very underated, watch some of his games and you will see how much he creates for players. (sometimes by using strenght and other times using creativity) plus he is much more offensive then essien

Well, besides his age, he was one of Portsmouth's best players, if not the best actually. It's normal for a club to ask alot of money for their best player, and it's a price that we have to pay if we want to sign a player like him. We can't ask a club interested in buying Adriano to pay alot for him, but we can ask whatever we want for Ibrahimovic.

Portsmouth signed him for 12mill Euros, he was their best player, and the players value get hyped up a lot in the english league, so 15mill is not that bad.

Him and Iaquinta were the biggest reasons why Udinese qualified for the Champions league. Then him and Obodo formed a very strong partnership in the middle for them.
We should know about his qualities considering how we never managed to beat Udinese.

BBC says £12.7 million which is roughly equal to €16 million. For a very promising 23 year old which has two consequtive (at least) good seasons for two different clubs in two different countries. On top of this one of the clubs were Italian and he spent five years in Udinese which means that he knows the language and the style of play very well already.

I clearly wouldn't call this a bargain however it is far from ridiculous imho.

Cafe is right.

Quaresma would go Dinho style(sacrifice some part of his wages), if he was told Porto wants more money out of Inter, and the deal is almost off.

Not to mention Jose wants him, and MM said publicly we will sign 2 wingers. I bet if Chelsea would want to go to the table about Lampard, he would be already here, but it's not the case with Quaresma.

I think, that we already got what we want, but MM is trying to get the last cent out of this deal :P

TBH, I am baffled by this signing. But again, I didn't think we needed Lampard that much, so if Muntari signing will put to rest (for good) Lampard coming, then I am fine.

He is an excellent player, not that much of offensive creativity, but he will give us the steel that we need in the middle. I will be happier now if Vieira is gone, it's too much to have too many similar players in one department.

The price is good as well, and this negotiation went lightening fast, so kudos to our management. Redknapp is reaching legendary status in my books now, he could've blocked this deal, Muntari was massive for them last year.

you may want to support another team then. with a fit vieira, he will ALWAYS be in mourinho's team. be rest assured

Please, with a fit Vieira?! I don't know if you have noticed or not, but Vieria hasn't been "fit" ever since he came back to Italy. Yes, Vieira back in the day, Adriano before he got fat, and Figo when he was younger would most definatley be in Mourinho's team.

NEWS FLASH!!!!!

Things have changed...

I agree, fantastic job.

Mourinho stated he was intent on signing another midfielder with different qualities, we have that now. Muntari will free up Cambiasso plenty, Camibasso can be our destroyer now...Our Lampard.

As for the negotiations, great work, great price.

While thinking of alternatives to Lampard and realising they couldnt find one, maybe somebody was smart enough to say...hey, Camibasso can play there, then we can sign Muntari to cover him. Something along those lines.

Cant way to see how all the pieces of the puzzle will fit now.

Only way Lampard will come is if its for free in '09. If not, his loss. I would be content with our midfield either way.

Bring on Ricky Q and our buyings are done.
