We are all missing one moment. With Muntari who is very good defensively we can play 4-2-2-2.

Thats what is problem with our Club.Rarely we promote our own group of player. We always believe in buying proven material at the cost of our own youth. And when there is talk of CLub Trained and Assoc. Trained players we always run for cover. Its Laughable really.

We had so much experience in Mid Field.Pele could have benefitted by staying here. And then we talk about "We are not selling the player just loaning him out".We are just sending wrong signal all the time.Telling the player indirectly you are not good enough for Inter despite the facr that you shone the few times you have played here.

Playing Muntari instead of pele doesnt mean that we are winning Champions League because of Muntari but playing Pele instead of Muntari would mean that Club is patient on a talented player.

No Wonder we didnt have a Home grown Club Symbol. The system Sucks:(

You have a good point and I've been saying the same thing. But at this point, Pele wouldn't probably develop as well as playing constantly and getting responsibility to be an important part of team's midfield. At Inter it's not possible. And Pele is not our youngster, he was bought a year ago. So he is as much "bought player" as Muntari. He's just a little younger, 3 years. Pele would be our club-trained player after two years from now if he would stay at Inter. Before that, he isn't and he would take a valuable "free player" spot.

Muntari does have a hell of a shot on him, but I really wont call him more offensive than Essien.
I really like the player we are buying, I just done think we needed a player for that position. The squad is getting way too big, and we need to trim it now. Lets hope we kick Vieira out pretty soon.

So who do you guys think will start in a 3 man midfield? Muntari and Cambiasso are the two obvious choices, I am wondering about the 3rd one.
And I dont think it can be Zanetti, I think Jose might play him as a LB.

All other points are irrelevent, because with Lampard as addition to the midfield, this situation is identical.

Why don't you go and support Arsenal, or Roma then. Sure, they don't win much, but they invest hell of a time in their youngsters.

Talk about Over Rating.he may be a Potentially good player. But it remains to be seen if he can be compared to likes of Lampard.

SO as it is the situation is not identical

Why should i go and support Arsenal or Roma if i want a Club Trained player of Inter to prosper at Inter?

And Anyways Inter win more than Arsenal or Roma so the chance of giving more playtime to youngsters in Inter under a Great Coach wouldnt mean that
we are going Trophy Less.

Cant see your point?

I meant there would be 8 mids with Lampard, and it will be 8 midfielders with Muntari. The situation in this matter is identical.

I don't want to sound offensive, but we already talked about this here many times(I don't mean with you), and it was explained here.

I would love to see twenty one 17 year olds kicking everybodys asses in Campionato and Champions league, I don't think there is one single person who wouldn't love that. But at Inter, the success is more important than the time spent on a youngster. It is brutal, but it's ALOMST, I'm not saying it isn't, imposible to combine those two things.

On the other hand, when a youngster succeds in his 17's, 18's, in a team with such a high competition, it is almost sure, that he will be something, because he must be, if he can compete and get past a most known players.

So let me summarise. As much as everybody would like to see more players at Inter develope, we need to stay competetive, 365 days in a year, there is very little time to give to the youngsters to develope. The only way for youngster(17, 18) to be given chance at Inter is when he is already as good as players in the senior team(SuperMario example).

Mancini & Muntari our amazing transfer summer :howler:

They should just hand us the CL now.....

Out of curiousity, which players would you've bought if you were in Oriali and Branca's shoes?

I know you don't like to discuss it, but please make an exception.

Pele can probably benefit a lot from regular playing time at another club.

I agree with Azz here FR. The world is a football globe, and Branca/Orialli weren't able to find a similar alternative to Lamps?? Fuck me.

Look at Barca's 4-3-3 system, they have Xavi in midfield who is a creative genius while we'll have Cambi or Muntari to be that man?? Again, fuck me.

People criticise Ranieri's love for DM/CM's, just look @ us:

Pele, Dacourt, Vieira, Cuchu, Muntari, JZ.

:yuck: ridiculous.

I don't understand what you're doing. I simply asked Azzkikr for his opinion. Why are you defending him? Did I ever attack any of his opinions?

Some characteristics of midfielders in Spain are more needed, than in Italy and vice versa.

Those are different style of plays. I repeat. The players who can succed even in 2 of leagues from Italy/Spain/England, are not so common to find.

In Spain creativness, passing is everything, in Italy a midfield must be strong, that doesn't mean they don't need to be creative, but the difference is obvious.

Barca had midfield(not deffensive midfielder, I'm talking about central midfiel) consisting Xavi and Deco. Real had Guti, Gago, sometimes even Robinho.

In Italy? JuBe Zanetti, Sissoko, Milan Ambrossini, Gattuso, Inter Vieira, Zanetti.

If we sign him, we will hear more hating on. But seriously, this is a very tallented young player. Him coming to inter may be an underated transfer, which makes sense cuz he's an underated player. Creativeness is kind of booosted, especially when comparing it to players like viera and dacourt. I watched some portmouth games and his assists were class (he had quite a few). He is far from being a deffensive mid, and excells almost as much with his offensive qualities. I hope we sign him and RQ~

Wow.. I mean WOW! What a move. To snatch best player of silverware-winning EPL side in just one week and for such a low price! This is some feat. Great work from our management!

Best player? Hardly.

Lassana Diarra and Niko Kranjčar are both superior players to Muntari.

And 14m is way to much imo.

I'm saying it, according to 4-5 Portsmouth matches i watched+ 2-3 reviews from my EPL supporting friends. There is no such title as "best player of the team", of course.

Damn it, not another central midfielder. FFS, of course muntari is a good player but we have waaay too many now. And what about Pele? He's not get any playing time if Muntari arrives, in Serie A and CL I mean.
