He just has zero confidence. Players build confidence from playing. He never gets to play and when he does it’s as a LWB, which is not his preferred position.

If we played Dimarco once every 2 months for 10 minutes as a RWB he would look like absolute garbage as well.

I’m not saying this guy is a potential world beater, but as I’ve said before we have given him ZERO conditions to succeed here.

Completely different from an Asllani, Taremi, Frattesi situation.

It's clear as a clear sky that we can't use this guy. He has no position in 3-5-2. Waste of time

I agree with what you’ve said, I thought he was an impressive player at the last WC and hoped we’d sign him.

You are very much correct but we need someone who can come in and play well in spots. Veteran players. This youth obsession with oak tree is going to end what’s been a great window for us. Instead of spending 15 million total on four 19 year olds who we’ll never play they should be going and getting another veteran who can just put a shift in. Taremi was supposed to be that guy up front but he is dogshit.

Playing on the wrong side doesn't help, dicking around with the ball when the match is on the line kinda inexcusable.

I feel this guy i a commission signing for his agent or something like that, even worse than Lazaro.

What I don't like is that he doesn't pass the ball quickly enough. Everybody else on that side, be it Mkhitaryan, Barella, Dimarco, Bastoni or Carlos Augusto, the ball is moving, but not so much with Tajon.

Also he went into a dribble instead of sending a cross into the box that was full of our players. Like wtf are you doing, bro?

Conditions to succeed haven't been favourable for him, but he needs to make the best of what he has and is given. He missed many months because of serious injury, hasn't had a single preseason with the coach so far. I know you are indirectly blaming the coach here, I'm saying Inzaghi doesn't have any obligation or duty to babysit players, his responsibilities goes higher than that (the results). If the players aren't responding the way he wants, players don't play.

If you can't cross with your left, you train after team trainings so that you can. If you can't read the play and position correctly, you watch videos, you make everything possible to understand how you should play.

I'm quite sure he'll be sold in the summer unless he picks up tremendously in the spring season.

You don't have to imagine Dimarco as rwb. You can simply remember his performaces as lcb during his first season at Inter. He got A LOT of playing time (time that Buchanan can only dream of) but he looked very hot and cold (even costly at times) because position didn't suit him.

I don't think Buchanan is Inter material and deal never made sense to me (simply a panic buy) but like you say he was never given the conditions to succeed.

After Dumfries and Darmian extensions it's unlikely he will ever play in his position and he isn't exactly young so at this point we just need to move on from him.

Not the best moment to argue in favor of veterans as we currently have some veterans who don't perform right now.

A point can be made about signing quality veterans but those require high salaries. We don't have a sugar daddy so the only way to fund them is by selling your best players. That thing isn't sustainable.

Strictly signing youth isn't going to work but simply signing veterans isn't the solution either. A combination is the way to go.

Awful cameo yesterday, but for whatever reason I’m not 100% ready to write him off. He’s more than likely never going to hack it at inter, but I think he’s got some dawg in him deep down. He will just need to find it in a hurry. Hopefully the shitty cards he’s been getting dealt since joining us will force him to raise the bar.

He just needs to learn Italian or be a goof like Nagatomo and blends in a bit more. Right now he’s like a lone wolf and it never ends well in any team sport, especially not with us which thrives om a collegiate environment

Sky links Buchanan to Torino. Discussion is about loan + option.

Maybe Torino is the right place for him. They play with wingbacks, but also play 4-4-2 against Fiorentina last weekend.
I think Tajon has a better chance of being in the starting lineup there.
But I think it would be better to loan him with an obligation this time. Otherwise, they could do another Lazaro deal, where they return him and ask for a discount rather than pay the agreed fee.

Has he even played a whole 90 minutes from start to finish yet?
