I actually think besides freeing up Carlos for the LCB position, he is also better off as a LWB in this system, especially since he is not a sophisticated player, like for a right footed winger with dribbling on the right side, we don't try to just beat the man and go to the byline and cross, that doesn't help us much, in fact we want some threats driving into the box, or some playmaking, like with Cuntrado.
He basically doesn't have that in his tool kit, but he is a very good dribbler with pace and decent shootings and crossing, so making him do invert plays actually gives himself more space and option to operate while not overly complicating the game for himself, and creates overlapping for Bastoni or anyone that can drift down to the left flank.
I don't fault Inzaghi for not starting him on the right side, cause it doesn't give much to the team with a pacy winger beating his man and rush to the byline, in the case they beat their man, we rather want them drive the ball like a counter attack.
Personality wise I think he is a quiet hard worker.
