Yup i can concur that, it takes a while till the main page appears. Also tried it on different devices and different internet connections to make sure.

For whatever reason, only the home page loads slowly (more like: it takes forever), while (at least for me) there is no issue with any other page in the site.

Maybe this will help understand where the problem lies

I think the site is mostly taking time trying to fetch data from FedeNerazzurra news site.

Beside the homepage, all the other pages are working fine. Here's all the other parts that the homepage consists of, except for the FedeNerazzurra part:

I ran a Pingdom test, you can look for yourself. It's not FN's requests that are timed out as his site loads fairly quickly, it's the forum itself (forum.php) which takes up to thirty fucking seconds to load and that's for about 415k in information in total. Actually, the user is waiting for a response from the server, the info that's being requested is like 15k... Some other tests like the one Google Developers has, PageInsights, straight out crashed because of that time-out.

At a second glance Bes' argument sounds pretty logical but then again FedeNerazzurra takes like 2-3s to load... Maybe it's something about the request? I dunno. Disabling it temporarily for debugging will tell. This 30s wait time is a TTFB (Time to first bite) basically the server does absolutely nothing in that time. What about the league table, wonder where this info comes from?

You mean nothing is worse than someone trying to use the phone without you knowing and causing the connection to break.

Also props to the person in charge who fixed the forum, it's back to being fast again.
