Wtf happened to AdBlock Plus?

I've used it for years but as of really recently, maybe just in the last week, it no longer blocks ads on youtube (which it did before). Thought it might be a youtube update which bypasses the adblock and tried to update to the most recent version but still nothing.

On that topic, HOLY FUCKING SHIT there are a lot of ads on youtube... 2 ads before each video, at least 1 ad during the video.. fucking disgusting.

Honestly had no idea it was this bad. Never had to endure an ad on youtube for the better part of a decade but now that adblock plus decided to shit itself, I'm finding youtube utterly intolerable. What are some good free ad blocks?

I use this one and it still blocks all YouTube ads.

I use ublock origin and it blocks everything. Totally recommend it.

It's a torture watching videos on it whereas like @Universe I haven't seen one on my computer in years.
But may have to endure it on my work computer which I barely use anyway. Either for YouTube or for work

I returned the incredulous look when he told me he couldn't be bothered to install a free adblocker extension.

Youtube Vanced is the only solution I can think of. But it's being discontinued, although you might still get to enjoy it for a couple of months. It was great while it lasted

Android? I always thought you would use nothing but iPhone

I haven't found any that works properly on Android. I currently use phone version of ABP. It blocks most ads but i still get ads and it certainly doesn't work on YouTube. You eventually get used to them.

I've had an Android ever since they came out.

HTC T-Mobile G1 whatever it was called. My friends made fun of it cause they thought it looked like PlayStation's PSP but loved it. Extremely easy to text whilst driving as well (guilty).

Only Apple product I ever had was an iPod mini.

Completely other topci but my nerves are getting higher and higher: In the late afternoon I have a admission interview for a Uefa course of the Dutch football federation. The guy who is going to interview me is head of a Youth Academy of a professional football club in Holland. Course would take a full season starting in September and if you pass this course you can be coach of the highest youth teams in Holland (next course after that means you can train youth at a professional football club.)

Still 7 hours to go to the interview and I'm now at work but can't really focus myself at my work and constantly thinking about the interview. Ffs I feel like I'm at school again and have a really important test today.

Re: YouTube, I highly recommend installing the SponsorBlock extension on your web browsers, in order automatically skip the in-video promo segments like Skillshare, Squarespace, or Audible. That’ll save you guys the effort scrolling through the progress bar on many videos.

For Android, luckily Vanced still works1 like @Shark says. Just gotta scavenge the net to find a reliable link to download the apk installation file; speaking of which, Vanced Music is still going strong as well. In terms of mobile web browser options, I’ve been using Free Adblock Browser, which you can find on the play store under “FAB Adblocker Browser:Adblock”. The paid features aren’t necessary at all for YouTube video ad-blocking.

So guys I just got the news that I've been accepted and I will start in September and finish in May 2023. Just in time to take over the job at Inter after we finished outside the top 4 and sold our best players.
