I used to do it for... charity. Only got paid extra for working on public holidays.

After that experience, never again. Overtime had to be logged and accounted for. Which meant no more overtime, ever.


Wouldn't be surprised if there's a lot of places where overtime is taken for granted, without any benefits. In Greece, this is rampant. Italy is not very dissimilar in that regards, at least in some sectors.

Shit, the weekend is so fucking boring without any Inter.

I've been filling my weekend with (the Raimi) Spiderman movies and playing some Bloodborne. Oh, and watching IT10 Dota2 matches. My saturday flew by easily, but at least I was free.

I'm on week 3 of Uni, man this shit is already stressing me out pretty bad, just so many deadlines and things to think about really knocks it out of you, I used to laugh at people that live for the weekend but I'm starting to get it now. (not that I have that bad, I'm well aware this is nowhere near what some people need to go through in their daily life) I did get some relief Saturday though at the Scotland game vs Israel. What a game that was.

Don't know what you were expecting, but I felt like a tourist at university.

Probably because it was right after a rather long military service so anything would look like vacation after escaping that cage.

Is this your first year? Cause if so you should try to take advantage of everything University has to offer you, social wise, while you're there. So much fun.

Good luck with your studies once you get into a rhythm you'll notice it won't feel as bad as it does now.

In Ontario, Canada,anything worked after 44hours has to be paid at 1.5x the hourly waged even when you are salaried. I've only been with 2 companies my whole career and they've always paid over time after 40 hours. Of course there are some positions that are exempt for that and I've heard stories from my friends who work 60h a week consistently without getting paid extra.
